Dennis Wyndham (15 January 1887 – 19 August 1973) was a South African film actor. He appeared in 47 films between 1920 and 1956. He was born in Natal, South Africa.

On 23 May 1917 he married the actress Elsie Mackay and she performed as Poppy Wyndham throughout most of her stage and film career. Her elopement caused her father James Mackay, 1st Earl of Inchcape to disinherit her. The marriage was annulled in 1922.

Un chevalier sarrazin envoyé par Richard est tué par deux archers qui lui vole un précieux objet en argent contenant un message. Le shérif de Nottingham accuse Robin des Bois et ses hommes d'en être responsables mais un témoin a assisté à la scène et apprend à Robin que les deux assassins ont été engagés par un seigneur dont l'écusson est un aigle argenté sur fond noir : l'emblème de Sir Moraine, un farouche partisan du Roi Richard. Robin se fait passer pour un saltimbanque du nom de Lancaster pour découvrir le fin mot concernant ce complot contre le Roi.

Ted Peters, un chauffeur de taxi, enquête sur la mort de son ami d'enfance Dave Robinson, retrouvé à l'arrière de son taxi. Comme Ted avait auparavant emmené Dave dans un dancing, Joy, la petite amie de Ted, obtient un emploi d'hôtesse afin d'enquêter davantage. L'endroit sert de couverture à un gang qui fait du marché noir, dirigé par M. Gregory et Paul Baker. Quand Ted semble s'approcher trop près, le gang, qui ne connaît toujours pas son lien avec Joy, tente de le faire tuer, mais il survit. Joy entend le gang préparer un cambriolage dans un entrepôt et en informe Ted. Ce dernier empêche le gang de mener à bien le raid et Baker est arrêté. Gregory découvre qui est Joy et la prend en otage lorsqu'il tente de fuir, mais Ted arrive et l'arrête après une lutte.

George Blake (Formby) is a waiter with ambitions to join the Navy, although he's been rejected several times, because of a weak heart. But during an air raid he's mistaken for a sailor because he's wearing the clothes of a navy friend who's borrowed his to go to a Lock-in at a pub. George is spotted by military police who think he is AWOL and escort him back to Naval barracks. He impresses the sailors there with his songs and ukulele playing, and is recruited to play at the "Spick and Span" troop radio concert in London. Somehow, along the way, he stumbles on a group of Nazi spies using a taxidermists shop as a front, and foils their plot to blow up a British submarine, "The Firefly". He also impresses and wins the heart of Pat (Anne Firth}, the Wren he's fallen for.

Old Mother Riley inherits a Scottish property, believing it, at first, to be a pub, and makes the journey up north with her daughter, Kitty. They are surprised to find themselves in possession of a haunted castle, though it turns out the ghouls and ghosties are not what they seem. They are in fact an ingenious front for an espionage ring anxious to get their hands on an inventor's plans, and trying to scare intruders away.
