Sreekumar (Jayasurya), son of an idealistic political activist Achukoodam Madhavettan (M. R. Gopakumar), is determined to get a doctorate in linguistics. Although mired in poverty, he works hard on his thesis. But his life is made difficult by his research guide and his thesis gets rejected. He decides to abandon his studies and find a job. That's when his friend, Sneha (Remya Nambeesan), helps him get a job at a pig farm. When he opposes some unhealthy practices at his workplace, he is relegated to a menial job at the pig sty. Eventually, the travails that he has to undergo shatter his youthful idealism.

The story revolves around Joseph Alex I.A.S (Mammootty) and Bharathchandran IPS (Suresh Gopi). A Pakistan military group under Maj. Abu Jalal Rana trespasses Indian waters, targeting New Delhi. The plan, however, is intercepted by Dr. Emma John of Intelligence Wing as she informs it to her senior Padmabhushan Dr. Sudarshan (Nedumudi Venu). Before they can tell the home minister, however, they are killed by two cops, who is joined by a senior police officer, Shankar Ramdas (Devan). Unbeknownst to them, Imran, a photo journalist manages to take pictures of the scene onto his camera. Meanwhile, Kishore Balakrishnan (Vijay Menon), the senior analyst at the agency, sets off to see Swami Chandramoulishwar (Saikumar) at his ashram demanding for the information he passed before. However, Swami was able to suffocate him before pushing him into the Yamuna river. The next day, the bodies of Kishore, Dr. Sudarshan, and Dr. Emma are all found in the river. Since both the bodies of the doctors are seen in an intimate position, the police concludes that Kishore killed the two out of jealousy, and then killed himself right after by drowning himself into the river.

Indian Rupee is a satirical dig on contemporary youth who attempt to make quick money without sweating it out. Jayaprakash or JP (Prithviraj Sukumaran) is a small time real estate dealer based in Calicut, who dreams of making it big some day. JP is a school drop-out and in love with his cousin Beena (Rima Kallingal) who is a doctor, though her parents are not too keen about the marriage. JP along with his partner CH (Tini Tom) is scouting for a land deal. He is working under a senior agent Rayeen (Mamukoya) but wishes to break free as soon as possible. He believes that his fortunes are up for a change, when Achutha Menon (Thilakan), an old city dweller approaches him to sell off his land assets. The deal never happens, but Achutha Menon stays back with them and becomes a part of their life. Things start happening in a fantastic way for JP, soon after. JP manages to earn a decent fortune after some smart moves, but he learns some valuable lessons in the process, about the importance of earning money honestly in life.

Saikumar plays the role of Prathapa Verma, a rich man in Dubai who has a son Manu (Bala) but also has an adulterous relation with a lady in Mumbai, Janet, with whom he has another son named Alexander (Mohanlal). In his will, he has bequeathed all his wealth to his son Alexander. If Alexander dies, then 40% of Prathapa Verma's wealth will go to his relatives (Siddique, K. B. Ganesh Kumar, etc.) and 30% goes to Manu, and 30% to a trust. If Manu dies, then 100% will go to the trust. So the relatives decide to kill him, while Manu decides to go and meet Alexander and power of attorney from him so that he can get all Verma's wealth, and then kill him or get rid of Alexander. But to their surprise, Alexander is in mental rehabilitation center under the treatment of Dr. Korah (Nedumudi Venu). Eventually, over time, Manu realizes that his brother has unique abilities, which he grows to accept. He starts becoming fond of his half-brother. The story then progresses to show how Manu brings Alexander to Dubai. After reaching Dubai, the struggles that Alexander faces form the rest of the story.

Anoop Chandran (Indrajith), is a famous writer and award winner. Prone to seeing future events that turn out to be real, one day Anoop sees his own death in a trance. He decides to write one final novel before death comes visiting. Anoop has a wife Meena(Sarayu), who never understands the writer in him. At the same time, Anoop is in love with dancer Gatha (Mamta Mohandas), with whom he shares a live-in relationship. Anoop always tells Gatha about his lost love Sathyabhama (Dhanya Mary Varghese), who was his lover in college. Excited about hearing Sathyabhama aka Bhama, Gatha wants to locate Bhama and goes to Anoop's tharavadu (ancestral house) with him. From there they go to Bhama's birthplace Vattakkulam to find Bhama. That place incidentally was the birthplace of Gatha's parents also. They returned, unsuccessful in finding Bhama. Gatha went to Kolkata for her dance performances while Anoop returned to Kerala. Three months later, Gatha got a call from Anoop. Gatha was shocked to hear that actually there was no girl as Bhama but was only an imaginary character created by Anoop for his final novel. Anoop was actually developing Bhama's story through Gatha. Anoop finally told Gatha that he sent the novel to Gatha and Gatha has the right to give it a title and publish and added that he is about to reach the end of his life, which he realised some time back. In the final scene, we see Anoop heading to some remote destination in the snow-clad mountains, to embrace his death.

The plot of the film is about corruption in India. It opens with Gopi Krishnan (Sreenivasan) and his wife (Devayani) and daughter Dhanya (Nazriya Nazim) enjoying themselves at Kutralam Waterfalls. Kunjunni (Mammootty), in an inebriated condition arrives on a rainy night to purchase Nellur Mana, which is believed to be haunted by the ghost of Savithri (Dhanya Mary Varghese). Being crazy about old houses and palaces, Kunjunni, who is in to realty business was lured into this deal by Gireeshan (Manoj K. Jayan), the son of Guptan Namboothiri (Thilakan), a feudal land lord. In a fight with Kunjunni, his younger son had fell from the terrace and had got paralyzed below the hips. Now Guptan Namboothiri wants to avenge for it. Upon reaching the old house, Kunjunni is attacked by the goons of Gireeshan, but he escapes miraculously. An atheist, Kunjunni leads a carefree life away from the traditions of his family and is inlove with Thulasimani (Kaniha), the daughter of Pisharody, the old friend of his late father, who was also a famous tantrik. In spite of all the blocks that comes on his way, Kunjunni reaches back to own the house. Gireeshan leads him inside and he feels the presence of some supernatural powers inside. While stepping into the pond, he feels trapped inside and as if someone was pulling him down. The dead body of Kunjunni was found at the nearby river on next day. Pattazhi Madhavan Nambooothiri (Mammootty), his brother, who is also a strong tantrik and Samskrit professor decides to probe the reasons that caused his brother's death. Madhavan Namboothiri suspects Gireeshan's role in it. Madhavan is married to Mithra (Navya Nair), the daughter of Guptan Namboothiri against his wishes. It was Kunjunni who helped Madhavan and Mithra get married despite the enmity between the two families. Upon learning about his brother's death, Madhavan goes to Nellur mana and along with his three disciples starts residing there. It is also revealed that Madhavan's father also had died by drowning in the pond long back, while was here to perform a vasthu puja. Madhavan and his disciples come across several supernatural experiences inside the house. Madhavan finds several vastu doshas existing in the house that had caused a series of accidents including fire tragedies that had killed several members long back. Madhavan brings in the youngest member of Uliyanoor thachan (Suraj Venjaramood)to rectify the errors. Along with that, he also does several pujas to clear up the mess. But things get more complicated with the arrival of Tulasimani. She is haunted by an unseen force from time to time. It is revealed that Tulasi is none other, but the daughter of Chitran Namboothiri, who was killed in a fire accident years back. Automatically, the ownership of the house comes in to the hands of Tulasi. One night, one among the disciples of Madhavan is killed. The same night, Madhavan is attacked by Jayan, son of Gupthan Namboothiri. The next day, Jayan's corpse is found in the river. Beeran (Devan), the SP of police arrives at the spot for investigation and is shocked to find another corpse, that is of Vishahari, a trusted left hand of Jayan in the house. Madhavan explains Beeran the secrets of the supernatural things happening inside. A secret passage exists from the pond to the river that carries anyone who steps into the pond to the river. He also explains, that it was not any supernatural element that had killed his disciple, but was Jayan and Vishahari, who were in the house to hunt down Madhavan. The next night, Madhavan is getting prepared for the final puja to clear up the whole mess, when Gireeshan arrives in the garbs of Savitri. It is revealed that Gireeshan is suffering from multiple personality disorder and it is him, whom many people mistook to the ghost of Savitri. Madhavan physically overcomes Gireeshan and defeats him, thereby putting an end to the mystery of the ghost. He thus moves back from Nellur Mana, handing the key to Thulasimani.

The story takes place in a remote village where the majority of the people are Christians. Solomon (Dileep), the son of GeeVarghese sexton (Vijayaraghavan), a simple soul who is quiet in nature and fears virtually everything around, thus earning the nickname Kunjaadu (little lamb). His mother, Mary (Vinaya Prasad),was Ittichan's (Innocent) (a rich landlord) crush. He named his daughter Mary (Bhavana) after Solomon's mother. He wanted Solomon to love his daughter dearly and then he would marry her to some other person so that he gets to know the pain that he felt when he lost his lover. He promises the church that he will give another cross made out of gold to the church if Solomon marries some other girl but if he wants to marry his daughter then Solomon must give a cross to church. Mary (Bhavana) has been in love with Solomon right from their childhood days. Meanwhile, a man (Biju Menon) with rugged looks comes to Solomon's house and Solomon, who is overjoyed at getting some fearless company, gets the man accepted by his whole family under the guise that he is his long-lost brother Jose. He does so much for the family and gets involved in agriculture and develops the families living. Later, Solomon finds that there is more to his so-called brother than he thought initially,where he has killed a girl and was imprisoned for 7 years. Finally he finds that Jose has stolen the cross and hid it in Solomon's land 7 years ago and came again to take it. Solomon warns his family that even if is their brother, he should be watched or else he'll burn down the house. Their parents don't take it seriouly but later when the family is away, Jose burns the house down and everyone thinks it is Solomon who did it. Solomon later finds out that Jose's old friend who also wants the golden cross was the one who killed the girl, who was Jose's wife. A fight occurs between Solomon and both the thieves. Jose's friend get smashed down and rings the church bell telling that he got cross and saves Jose by telling that he was the one who help him capture the thief, and because Solomon always considered him as a brother. everyone becomes happy and Ittichan gives his daughter's hand to Solomon.
