Vijayaraghavan is an Indian actor who mainly acts in Malayalam cinema. He is popular for his character roles. He is the son of popular drama and cinema artist N. N. Pillai.
He got a break with his performance in the 1989 film Ramji Rav Speaking, in which he played the title role of the villain Ramji Rao. In the mid-1990s Vijayaraghavan played the hero in a number of low-budget Malayalam movies. He appeared in a few movies as second hero with Suresh Gopi in the lead role, including Commissioner. He also played notable roles in movies such as Ekalavyan, Mafia and King. In 1995, he reprised his role as the character Ramji Rao in Mannar Mathai Speaking.
In the 2000s, he turned to character and villain roles and appeared in various movies, among them C.I.D. Moosa, Lion, Chotta Mumbai, Mayavi, Bharathchandran I.P.S. and Raavanaprabhu. He has also appeared in a popular Malayalam television serial entitled Kavyanjali, produced by Balaji Telefilms.

Vijayaraghavan made his film debut with Kaapaalika, which was based on his father's play of the same name. He appeared in just a couple of scenes in this film. His opening as a full-fledged actor occurred ten years later in Surumayitta Kannukal (1983). However, it was only after he appeared in the 1987 film New Delhi that Vijayaraghavan became a busy star in Malayalam film.He got a break with his performance in the 1989 film Ramji Rav Speaking, in which he played the title role of the villain Ramji Rao. In the mid-1990s Vijayaraghavan played the hero in a number of low-budget Malayalam movies. He appeared in a few movies as second hero with Suresh Gopi in the lead role, including Commissioner. The story is set in an engineering college, where Umesh (Nivin Pauly) is studying. Umesh is a carefree engineering student, who has 42 back papers to clear. His close pals are Shaji (Aju Varghese) and Thankaprasad (Neeraj Madhav). Jilebi is a sweet story about confrontation between a middle aged village Sreekuttan (Jayasurya) and his city-bred nephews. Sreekuttan, is a village guy whose life is happily confined to his farm and crops. Far away, in the Dubai city, trouble brews for him in the form of his nephew and niece. From the first confrontation it becomes clear that both Sreekuttan and kids are fish out of water, other than their respective backgrounds. At school they are met with Silpa(Ramya Nambisan) - kids mother, she angrily lambasts Sreekuttan and blames him and his village farming attitude and responsibility for being late for admissions. Sreekuttan puts Silpa in her place for her snobbish attitude and reminds her money doesn't make relationships change its inherent values. Later understanding her mistake Silpa let's her children join in a nearby school to her family house and fly's back from Dubai to Thrissur.

Mannar Mathai (Innocent) is now running a travel agency Urvashi Tours & Travels,his partners in this agency are his old mates Gopalakrishnan (Mukesh) and Balakrishnan (Saikumar). Their drama group which was started in 1989, is celebrating its 25th anniversary and Manaar Mathai wants to perform a drama on this occasion. Entry of the old villan Mahendra Varma (Biju Menon) complicates the setting. Rest of the movie is the fight between Mahendra Varma, Hareendra Varma & Ramji Rao (Ramji Rao has given up his wicked ways and has converted to a Christian, becoming a well-known pastor called Kunjumon, meaning "little boy" in Malayalam and is later revealed to be Nithya's father).
