Aakasha Ganga is a 1999 Malayalam horror film by Vinayan starring Divya Unni and Mukesh & Produced by Aakash Films.

Synopsis

Years ago, Devan(Madhupal), a member of the 'Maanikesseri' royal family, fell in love with Ganga(Mayuri), a 'dasi'(servant) girl and gets her pregnant. On hearing this, Devan's family members get shocked and in a fit of rage, his father, Thampi(Spadikam George), beats and kicks Ganga, making her unconscious. Panicker, a loyal servant of the family, tries to revive her, but fails. He comes to the conclusion that Ganga may be dead. So Thampi and Panicker decide to cremate Ganga, but while doing so, she regains consciousness, asking for water. The merciless Thampi sets the pyre ablaze and burns her alive.

Jayadeva Sharma hails from an aristocratic Brahmin family. However his family's fortunes disappears and he is fostered by a goldsmith. Eventually he is betrayed by Ananthapadmanabhan, a man who he thinks is Athira's boy friend. To get his money back, he disguises as a sage with the help of his friends Premadasan and gets into the house of Athira's grand father, Kunnamanagalam Neelakantan Vaidyar as a guest. Jayadevan's and Athira's friendship blooms after he saves her from Balagopalan, who is a cousin of her. Premadasan end up falling in love with Vasumathi who is also a cousin of Athira. Near the climax on Athira's wedding day, Jayadevan is held hostage by Ananthapadmanabhan and is saved by Premadasan. At the end Athira's fiancé is caught and Athira and Jayadevan unites.

Vinod (Pritviraj) is in love with Aswathy (Karthika Mathew) a member of the Lakshmipuram royal family, which has many dark secrets. The baby is called Ammu (Taruni Sachdev) and is looked after by the members of the family who start thinking that the little girl is possessed by an evil spirit. Vinod hires Indu(Meenakshi) to babysit Ammu. Later the family members understand that Indu is also possessed by an evil spirit.
