Pellichesukundam (English: Let's Marry) is a 1997 Telugu film directed by Muthyala Subbaiah and produced by C. Venkat Raju and G. Siva Raju on Geetha Chitra International. Starring Venkatesh, Soundarya and Laila in the lead roles, the music was composed by Koti. The film was a 'Super Hit' at the box office.
Synopsis
Pelli Chesukundham was a story how Anand (Venkatesh) a multi-millionaire supports Shanti (Soundarya), victim of a rape. Shanti witnesses a murder and reports it in the police station. Murderer's brother rapes her to take revenge and her family doesn't want her to stay with them. Anand, knowing everything welcomes her and gives her shelter in his house though society disapproves of it.Acteurs

Inspector Vijay (Venkatesh) is an honest police, officer. His past love Bharathi (Soundarya), a journalist, died in a road accident and from that day he became a drunk. Vijay comes on rental to the house of a journalist Renuka (Jayasudha) who had been divorced from her husband SP Prakash (Ahuti Prasad) because of his turpitudinous character and lives with her three children. Vishwanath (SP Balasubramanyam) is a multi-millionaire industrialist. Vijay, (Venkatesh) his only son, having grown up in the United States, has no interest in marriage, his goal is to enjoy his youth as much as possible. Vishwanath would like his son to get married and become responsible, his insistence makes Vijay agree to a marriage but with a unique condition — a kind of a test drive! The marriage will be for a single year, initially, and at the end of the year he can choose to continue it, or not, depending on his attitude towards his wife, in that duration the marriage will be annulled. Radha (Soundarya) is Vishwanath's personal secretary, is a hardworking girl struggling to support her family. Vishwanath asks Radha to quit her job and marry his son, but she refuses when she hears Vijay's strange condition. However, Radha's family is in dire financial straits and, so, she has to reconsider this offer. In return for marrying Vijay, she asks for financial support for her family, which Vishwanath readily provides.

Sriram (Venkatesh) and Seeta (Soundarya) have no children even after three years of marriage life. Sriram comes to know through the doctor that his wife cannot bear children, he is not willing to hurt his wife's feelings, he takes the blame on himself. Sriram's father (Kota Srinivasa Rao) is very fond of children so he always blackmails Sriram to make the second marriage. While on a business tour to Nepal, he marries a Nepali girl Manisha (Vineetha) under some unavoidable circumstances. When he comes to know that she is carrying his child, Sriram arranges for her stay at his friend Giri's (Brahmanandam) house. Manisha delivers a boy and Sriram adopts him with his wife's consent who is not aware of the truth. After some years Sriram's father comes to know truth through Giri, he wants Sriram to get back Manisha and make a clean of things to Seeta. But Sriram who is apprehensive of his Seeta's reaction begs his father to keep the whole affair under wraps and he brings Manisha as a cook to his house. The story takes a turn to climax when Seeta is not happy with the goings on in the kitchen, she tries to get Manisha married off to someone else, then Sriram reveals the secret, Seeta also understands situations and circumstances and she happily welcomes Manisha into their lives. Finally, the movie ends on a happy note of two wives live happily with one husband.

Malliswari (Katrina Kaif) is the heiress of Raja of Mirzapur (M. Balaiah). Her deceased father wrote in his will that she would inherit the property worth 750 crores after she becomes major at the age of 21. The entire property is under the ca re-taking of Bhavani Shankar (Kota Srinivasa Rao), who wants to inherit the entire property by killing her. As he hatches the plans to eliminate Malliswari, she is sent to Visakhapatnam to a relative's place as a normal girl so that she can live with anonymity. Prasad (Venkatesh) works as bank accountant in Andhra Bank there. He is a bachelor who has been desperately seeking for marriage alliance for the past seven years. He would be looking at every unmarried girl with dreams in his eyes. He accidentally meets Malliswari and falls deeply in love with her. Malliswari is traced by the goons there and they start running after her. Prasad escorts her and drops her safely in Hyderabad. The rest of the story describes what happens next and the eventual conclusion of the plot.
