Suresh Krishna was born on 5 April to Balakrishna Panicker & Parvathy in Guruvayoor. His father was working with Tamil Nadu Government in irrigation department and the family migrated to Tamil Nadu. Suresh was educated in Chennai. He has a younger sister who is married and settled.He is married to Sree Lakshmi, a professor at SCMS School of Technology and Management, Kochi. They have a son Ananthakrishna and a daughter Unnimaya. Currently he resides at Thrippunithura with his family.

A casket containing the body of deceased construction worker, Rafeeq (Musthafa), is flown from Dubai to the Calicut International Airport in Kozhikode, then transported by ambulance to its destination. While en route, the ambulance is ambushed by criminals hired by Muhammed Unni (Siddique) to retrieve the 100 kilograms (220 lb) of gold that he and his co-smugglers have hidden in the casket. What they discover instead is that the gold is missing.

The film begins with a flashback where two brothers Ravindra Varma(V. K. Sreeraman) and Mahendra Varma(Kalasala Babu) fighting for the royal family treasure along with their sons. During the fight a prism from the idol of the goddess breaks. The brothers get frightened and immediately stop the fight. After conducting certain rituals they find that the goddess is angry because of the bloodshed that happened and it is decided that the treasure will be locked for 41 years.

There are two parallel tracks that run in the film, of which the first involves ACP Shreya (Ranjini Haridas) and ACP Rishikesh (Baburaj). Sebastian (a.k.a. Seban) (Asif Ali), Abu(Sreenath Bhasi), Ambrose Perera(Balu), Fernandez de Silva (a.k.a. Ferno)(Baburaj), Angel(Bhavana) and Sara(Archana Kavi) are close friends and members of a music band based in Fort Kochi. Angel's brothers HC Michael(Lal), Martin(Amith Chackalakal), Father Collin(Suresh Krishna) and Antony(Assim Jamal) nicknamed "Punyalanmar" by people, are dangerous businessmen. Angel's family brings in a proposal for her from the city SI George. On the night before her marriage,a drunk Sebastian (Seban) breaks into Angel's house with his friends and proposes his love to her. He elopes with her that night with his friends' help. Ambrose, drunk and senseless writes a letter and leaves it in Angel's room to inform the Punyalanmar, that they helped Seban and Angel to elope. The next day Sebastian wakes up to see Angel with him. He is shocked to see her since he doesn't remember the previous night's events.Punyalanmar go in search of them, and they are on the run. Punyalanmar destroys Sebastian's house and burns Ferno's house. Seban and Angel decide to escape through the harbor. Abu, Ambrose and Ferno planned to confront and surrender to buy Seban and Angel time to escape. Punyalanmar captures Abu but Ferno and Ambrose threaten to kill their wives. Ferno calls Seban(who is on a boat) and says they're going to sacrifice themselves, and Ferno is stabbed by Michael's goon. seeing Angels brothers coming after them they decide to suicide. Seban and angel kiss each other passionately. then it is revealed in the flashback that her brothers did not kill seban's friends and that they were also there with her brothers in the boat they were coming after. But without knowing this Seban and Angel jump into the sea after kissing each other. Seban's friends jump into the sea to save them. The film has a happy ending in which all are praying together at Punyalanmar's father's tomb. and then heading for Seban's and Angels wedding.

Sam Alex (Prithviraj Sukumaran) is a police officer who is heavily dependent on alcoholism to ease the pain of his family loss. Sam Alex was a romantic and peaceful family guy, leading a good life with his family. His loving wife Teena and beloved daughter were murdered by Sam's enemy right in front of his eyes, and as a result, Sam turns into an alcoholic. Sam's supervisor, Mr. Aravindhaksha Menon (Vijayaraghavan) requests Sam to proceed with a parallel investigation in a case involving the disappearance and possible kidnapping of several young married men, since the present police team is not able to make any progress in the case. Sam refuses to this. Later, his mother (Vanitha Krishnachandran)requests him to take up the investigation. Sam Alex soon gets into the case files and consults the postmortem documents and the doctors who conducted it. Soon Sam Alex is seen making breakthrough in the case. Another two kidnappings happen in the series and all this leads to Sam's rough conclusion of the murderer. The murderer is an eccentric person and has a limp in his feet and is a person who either hates or loves women. The killer leaves certain clues inscribed by sharp surgical knife on the chest of the victims. This serves Sam's thinking of what kind of person the killer is and who is his next target. Upon careful examination of the words inscribed in the body of the victims, Sam uncovers that the words are actually Aramaic, the language that Jesus used for communication. The words are later found to point to biblical proverbs,thus helping Sam to lead to conclusions that the killer is insane and that he assumed that the victims gave up their lives for the sins committed by their respective wives. He soon figures out that the wives of the kidnapped husbands have links and they all had to do with a guy who studied with them certain years back. There was absolutely no evidence of such a person. During all these scenes, Sam realizes that there is one last target and the killer will not miss this and he will disappear after that. He eventually finds out that the next target is his own brother, Sanju and his brother's wife is the last link in the connection. Sam finds out with the help of his colleague and other evidences that the killer has a property near Kottayam. The film ends with Sam Alex using his presence of mind, apprehending the murderer (like how Alex Cross gets the killer in Kiss the Girls (film)) and saving his brother's life.

The whole story happens over two days, when five friends get together to celebrate New Year's Eve. The friends are John (Lal) a lawyer, Kichu (Biju Menon) a percussionist, Roopesh Krishna (Suresh Krishna) an actor, Bava (P. Sukumar) a chef and Babumon (Sunil Babu) a government employee.
