Mumbai Police commissioner Ajay Bhardwaj announces the end of the "Mafia Raj" in the city, in order to try to bring peace to the city's streets. However, a ruthless south Indian named Vijay Surya comes to the city, aspiring to be the most powerful Mafia Don there. Staying in Dharavi with his friend, he is introduced to a local politician Laalu, who is in trouble and offers him help. He recruits a portion of the gangsters and criminals living in Mumbai led by Naseer to work under him. Surya's henchman Shakeel manages to kill a witness of Laalu's crimes in the jail where he is kept in, winning Laalu's friendship.

15 years after an accident in which Bala's parents both died, Bala returns with wife, Revathi, and son, Anand, to his hometown. They decide to stay a couple of nights in the massive house that he grew up in. As he spends a few days in the house and recalls his memories, Anand- who has a disability to speak- sees movement around the house. But he cannot tell anyone what he witnesses. Soon Revathi who suffers from claustrophobia, deduces poltergeist activity in the house and so tells Bala that they have to go back to Chennai. Anand enjoys being in the presence of the ghosts and doesn't find any problem. Problems come up between the couple that they had never thought of when they had love marriage. Soon Revathi discovers that they did not come on holiday but in fact, came to escape some rowdies that Bala owes money to. This is when Bala's classmate and business partner, Jeeva, arrives to stay with them. His company had borrowed 40 lakhs from a rowdy and over the months it had increased to 50 lakhs but he is unable to pay back any money as his agent, who was supposed to give him 2 crores, runs away and is nowhere to be found. With the help of ghosts, Bala and his family find a way to escape from being kept under house arrest. Bala's partner who has been jealous of him had the money the whole time to pay the rowdies.

Malliswari (Katrina Kaif) is the heiress of Raja of Mirzapur (M. Balaiah). Her deceased father wrote in his will that she would inherit the property worth 750 crores after she becomes major at the age of 21. Prasad (Venkatesh) works as bank accountant in Andhra Bank there. He is a bachelor who has been desperately seeking for marriage alliance for the past seven years. He would be looking at every unmarried girl with dreams in his eyes. He accidentally meets Malliswari and falls deeply in love with her. Malliswari is traced by the goons there and they start running after her. Prasad escorts her and drops her safely in Hyderabad. The rest of the story describes what happens next and the eventual conclusion of the plot.
