Platform No. 1 is an upcoming Malayalam film directed by Nissar and starring Jackie Shroff, Safaruddin Shah, and Shwetha Menon in the lead. The film also stars Jagathy Sreekumar, Innocent, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Guinness Pakru, Abu Salim and Shah (the producer of the film).

Synopsis

The film takes off at a railway station where the characters of Jackie and Safaruddin Shah meet. The strangers end up telling each other their own stories and realise they have something in common. Jackie plays Mahendran, a musician who gets punished for a crime he didn't commit. He is paired opposite Shwetha. Shwetha plays a club dancer who has to support her family.

Face à l'impuissance de la police à s'emparer de Jagat Jogia, un gangster qui organise des attentats terroristes, l'inspecteur Jay Suryavanshi se résout à recruter un tueur endurci, Jeet Balraj. En échange de l'élimination du malfaiteur, Jay lui offre une nouvelle identité et la liberté. Au cours de sa traque, Jeet fait la connaissance de Mini dont il tombe amoureux et, par amour pour elle, décide d'abandonner ses activités criminelles une fois sa mission accomplie. Mais sa situation devient extrêmement périlleuse quand Jagat Jogia s'aperçoit qu'il le pourchasse et que Jay Suryavanshi projette de s'en débarrasser plutôt que de tenir sa promesse.

Pinky (Kajol), charmante jeune fille, et Bunty (Atul Agnihotri), jeune homme plein de vie, sont deux étudiants insouciants. Dès leur rencontre, ils tombent éperdument amoureux l'un de l'autre et envisagent de se marier. Mais leurs familles ne les approuvent pas : en effet, le mariage de Bunty a été arrangé avec Shobha (Ayesha Jhulka), la fille du meilleur ami de ses parents et pareillement, Pinky a été promise par son père (Kulbhushan Kharbanda) à Arjun (Jackie Shroff), officier de police digne de confiance. Pinky et Bunty décident de s'enfuir pour se marier et se rendent chez une tante (Aruna Irani) pour qu'elle les conseille. Celle-ci se rend compte que les sentiments éprouvés par les deux jeunes gens ne sont pas très sincères et juge que leur union serait une erreur. Aussi fait-elle semblant de les approuver mais les guide dans le même sens que leurs familles : elle leur suggère de se marier selon les vœux de leurs parents mais en leur laissant croire qu'ils pourront divorcer afin de se retrouver. Pinky et Bunty suivent ses conseils puis mettent tout en œuvre pour rendre leurs vies conjugales infernales. Leur comédie semble fonctionner jusqu'à ce qu'ils découvrent que Shobha et Arjun se rencontrent en cachette.

Anirudh (Nana Patekar) is released from a facility treating patients with mental ailments. Anirudh also happens to be an exceptional artist and does portraits of new people he meets.
