Yugpurush is a 1998 Drama Bollywood film directed by Partho Ghosh and produced by Vijay Mehta. The film stars Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff and Manisha Koirala in the title roles. It is an adaptation of Fyodor Dostoyevsky novel Idiot.
Synopsis
Anirudh (Nana Patekar) is released from a facility treating patients with mental ailments. Anirudh also happens to be an exceptional artist and does portraits of new people he meets. As he struggles with adjusting with the "normal" world, he encounters Sunita (Manisha Koirala), an escort and Ranjan (Jackie Shroff), the son of a renowned politician. Ranjan, is madly in love with Sunita but Sunita does not feel the same way about him. Anirudh is the only person to see beyond Sunita's seemingly comfortable and affluent existence and knows that deep down she is extremely sad and alone. They develop a special bond of friendship despite their vastly different personalities and backgrounds. Anirudh also becomes good friends with Ranjan. Ranjan is a good-hearted but egotistical man who cannot bear even the thought of failure in any aspect of his life.Acteurs

Pour assurer les études de son jeune frère Karan, Kishen entre secrètement dans le gang du redoutable Anna. Vaidehi (Manisha Koirala) est venue vivre à New York avec Raghu (Jackie Shroff), mari violent qui la trompe allègrement et l'encourage à faire de même. Pendant ce temps, celui-ci apprend qu'un récent accident l'a rendu stérile et que sa femme est enceinte. D'un cynisme sans égal, il l'appelle et présente ses excuses, projetant en réalité de garder l'enfant et de se « débarrasser » de Vaidehi. Alors que cette dernière est sur le point de tomber dans le piège et de le rejoindre, elle est informée des sombres projets de son époux, qui a déjà envoyé sur place deux de ses hommes de main pour s'assurer de son retour. Vaihedi parvient néanmoins à se soustraire à leur surveillance et à s'enfuir. N'ayant désormais plus nulle part où aller l'esprit tranquille, elle se réfugie dans le premier train. Sur sa route, elle croise plusieurs personnages.
