Anglo-Amalgamated est une société britannique de production et de distribution de films pour le cinéma, créée en 1942 par Nat Cohen et Stuart Levy .
Spécialisée au départ dans des films policiers à petit budget, Anglo-Amalgamated parie sur de nouveaux talents et réussit à suivre l'évolution du marché cinématographique, jusqu'à être absorbée en 1969 par EMI Films . Sa filiale Anglo-Amalgamated Film Distributors distribue en Grande-Bretagne, outre les films d'Anglo-Amalgamated Productions, notamment les films des American International Pictures.
Elle produit notamment des comédies musicales avec la vedette Tommy Steele, la série des Carry On, Le Masque de la mort rouge de Roger Corman en 1964, ou plus célèbre Le Voyeur de Michael Powell en 1960.
Dans les années 1960, ils travaillent avec le producteur Joseph Janni et les réalisateurs John Schlesinger, Joseph Losey ou Ken Loach.

Carry On Jack starts with the death of Admiral Horatio Nelson (Jimmy Thompson) whose last words are that Britain needs a bigger navy with more men, followed by his famous request for a kiss to Hardy (Anton Rodgers), upon which he meets his demise. In the main story, Albert Poop-Decker (Bernard Cribbins) has taken 8⁄2 years and still not qualified as midshipman, but is promoted by the First Sea Lord (Cecil Parker) as England needs officers. He is to join the frigate Venus at Plymouth. Arriving to find the crew all celebrating as they are sailing tomorrow, he takes a sedan chair with no bottom (so he has to run), carried by a young man and his father (Jim Dale and Ian Wilson, respectively) to Dirty Dick's Tavern.

Voulant éloigner sa rivale, Juliana organise la fuite de Francesca et de ses compagnons, mais cette évasion est un échec et Propero se vengera cruellement. Alors que la fête bât son plein, Prospero se retrouve alors devant un étrange personnage masqué : la Mort Rouge.

The film follows Jack Hopkins (played by Michael Craig), an aircraft designer with a passion for traction engines. His boss (played by Cecil Parker) is eager to sell a new supersonic jet plane that Jack has designed to American millionaire Paul Fisher (Alan Hale, Jr.). The first encounter between Fisher and Jack goes badly, and tensions only heighten after Fisher's daughter Kathy (Anne Helm) damages Jack's prize traction engine "The Iron Maiden", rendering it impossible to drive solo. Jack is desperate to enter the annual Woburn Abbey steam rally with the machine, but his fireman is injured and unable to participate. When all seems lost the millionaire himself is won over by Jack's plight and joins him in driving the engine; the two soon become firm friends.

Professor Sharpey commits suicide after subjecting himself to sensory deprivation experiments in a secret research laboratory. His former colleague Doctor Longman volunteers to undergo the same tests to try and establish what drove Sharpey to kill himself. He hopes to clear Sharpley's name with the police, who favour the theory that Sharpley was a double agent, perhaps allied with Communists, and that his death was the final result of his shame over betraying Great Britain. Longman begins subjecting himself to sessions in a sensory deprivation tank in order to prove that use of the technique can make one unusually suceptable to brainwashing or hypnotic suggestion.

Dr. Mark Davidson (John Neville), the narrator, is in fear for his life. His predecessor died under mysterious circumstances just after making a major breakthrough. The cause of death ("an explosion inside his brain") is being withheld by Secret Service agent Major Clarke (Patrick Newell). The scientists are working on a project involving spaceflight by the power of mental concentration.
