Synopsis
Radha comes from a poor family and dreams of becoming a great singer. She falls in love with Sasikumar, who calls himself Junior Yesudas. Sasikumar is also from a poor family. When Radha asks to marry Sasikumar, he says he is helpless as he has a lot of responsibilities and he does not have the money. Radha decides to commit suicide but is rescued by her cousin whom she understands was in love with her.Acteurs

Sachidanandan (Dileep) runs an antique shop in the Jewish street at Kochi. He is famous for old Gramophone records. Jennifer (Meera Jasmine), Pattu Set (Oduvil Unnikrishnan), ‘Saigal’ Yousuf and Tabla Bhaskaran (Salim Kumar) are Sachi's fathers close friends. Sachi’s father was Raveendranathan (Murali) who was a great music director who died leaving him with a lot of musical instruments and some gramophone records. Sachi hates music, as he believes that his father has not made any money out of it. Kuttan Thampuran (Manoj K Jayan) is the son of Subhadra Thampurati and Kochanyian Thampuran of the Maangaattu kovilkkam. Kuttan has suffered from epilepsy from childhood and is rough and violent in his character and is feared by all in the village. Haridas (Vineeth) is his classmate despite being two years younger and develops a special bond with Thampuran from childhood. Haridas always accompanies Kuttan and carries iron keys to assist Kuttan in case the seizure develops. Both Hari and Kuttan grow up to be unsuccessful in their respective lives and Hari is criticized for this by his father Bagavathar who is a well known classical singer, but has not been financially successful. Hari had a liking for music, but Bagavathar discourages him from music and persuades him into a professional degree course. Kuttan meanwhile had frequent seizures from Epilepsy and is a nuisance in both home and village, despite seeking various medical treatments.

Royal Circus, owned by Govindan (T S Raju), is on rocks. With the help of his manager Khader (Mamukkoya), Govindan just manages to run the company, though not in a satisfactory manner. All the members of the troupe live as a family, sharing intimate bonds of love and camaraderie. Abookka (Bahadoor), once a clown, has turned insane. As he still insists on putting up the make-up and entering the ring, he is caged, when the show goes on. Babu (Dileep), the favourite of the troupe is the clown of Royal Circus. Abooka has trained him to become the perfect clown. And he has learned the perfect art of masking his sorrows behind the clown's ever laughing mask. He has been there in the troupe ever since his childhood, looking after the other children, especially Govindan's daughter Kamala (Manya). Govindan has always been saying that Babu is to be his heir and is to marry Kamala. And of course Babu, deep in his heart, has feelings of love for Kamala.The movie takes a turn when Sudheer Misra (Nishanth Sagar), the young son of Padmini (Reena), a former member of the troupe makes his entry into the camp. Sudheer's arrival marks the beginnings of change. He steers the company out of its crisis and gives it a new form and name as New Royal Circus.

Preetam (Guru Dutt), a struggling cartoonist, meets Anita (Madhubala) at a tennis match, where she is watching her favorite tennis star. Anita, a wealthy and westernized heiress is controlled by her feminist aunt, Sita Devi (Lalita Pawar). Sita is suspicious of men, and cultivates her attitudes in Anita. However, to receive her fortune, her father's will decrees that Anita must marry within one month of turning 21. Sita Devi doesn't agree with this, and tries to set Anita up with a sham marriage which will soon lead to divorce, thereby giving her both freedom and a fortune. Sita hires Preetam to marry Anita, but doesn't know that the pair have already met. « The Music Box », music-hall londonien, ne manque aucune de ses représentations bien que la ville subisse la pleine période du Blitz. La troupe du « The Music Box » survit tant bien que mal aux assauts répétés de l’aviation allemande. Lors d’une alerte en plein spectacle, artistes et spectateurs se retrouvent au sous-sol. L’officier Paul Lundy fait alors connaissance d’une des vedettes de la revue, Rosalind Bruce. La jeune femme va tomber amoureuse de Paul au grand désarroi d’un danseur de la troupe, Tommy Lawson. Ce dernier sera consolé par Judy Kane, l’autre vedette du spectacle. Rosalind et Paul annonçant leur mariage et leur départ prochains, Tommy part boire dans un bar où Judy le rejoint. À ce moment la ville subit un raid aérien et le bar est entièrement détruit par une bombe.
