Synopsis
Durgaprasad Chaturvedi has built a community well for the local people's use. After his passing, his son Jamunaprasad administers the well, restricting its use. The film starts with Madan Gopal (Dev Anand) being thrown out of his house for not paying the rent. He goes to visit his friend, who has been helping him collect his mail, and finds a letter from his uncle, Manoharlal. Rajeshwari meets rich Amit Kumar Singh and they both fall in love and get married. Amit brings Rajeshwari to his home- A huge imposing mansion in middle of Moors.
