Nazir Hussain, also credited as Nasir Hussain (15 May 1922 – 16 October 1987) was an Indian film actor, director and screenwriter.
Hussain discussed the possibility of a Bhojpuri cinema industry with Indian president Rajendra Prasad. He has done around 500 movies in Bollywood. The maximum number of movies he has done with Dev Anand. Munimji is a 1955 Indian Hindi movie. The story idea was by Ranjan, and screenplay and dialogues by Nazir Hussain. The team of Mukherjee, Nazir Hussain, Dev Anand and music director S.D. Burman later got together to produce another movie, Paying Guest, in 1957. Following this, Hussain created Ganga Maiyya Tohe Piyari Chadhaibo (1962), the first Bhojpuri film. Hussain was also known for the hit Bhojpuri film Balam Pardesia in the late 1970s. Main Sunder Hoon is a 1971 Bollywood drama film directed by R. Krishnan and Nazir Hussain.

À la suite du décès de leurs parents, Muskaan (Kajol) et son frère Vishal (Arbaaz Khan) ont été élevés à la campagne par leur oncle et leur tante. Muskaan est aujourd’hui une charmante jeune fille qui souhaite aller étudier à Mumbai. Malgré ses craintes de voir sa sœur perdue dans cette grande ville, son frère accepte et l'accompagne jusqu’à son université où il rencontre le président (Tiku Talsania) pour s’assurer du sérieux de l’établissement et du bien-être de Muskaan. Celle-ci reçoit de nombreuses propositions de mariage de bonnes familles mais Vishal les rejette toutes les unes après les autres. Il fait subir à chaque prétendant un test : le tour de sa propriété à cheval mais qui tourne au drame à chaque fois… Seul celui qui réussira le test pourra épouser Muskaan. Lorsque cette dernière tombe amoureuse de Suraj Khanna (Salman Khan) rencontré à l’université, elle le présente à sa famille et Vishaal le soumet à son test mais Suraj échoue. Vishaal veut alors que Muskaan épouse le frère de Thakur Vijay Singh (Aashif Sheikh) sans savoir que Thakur Vijay Singh (Nirmal Pandey) ne souhaite cette union que dans le but de se venger de la famille de Muskaan pour un différend que les deux familles avaient eu il y a longtemps.

Mr. Sinha (Nazir Hussain) changes everything in order to maximize profits. This brings him into conflict with his employees including Dinanath Saxena. When Dinanath openly confronts Hiralal in a public meeting, Hiralal wants him to tender a written apology, but Dinanath instead resigns and decides to open his very own mill with the help of a struggling Engineer, Ashok Mathur. They do eventually succeed, go into production, hire employees, and soon earn a good reputation. Dinanath gets his daughter, Meena, married to Ashok much to the chagrin of Smita, the daughter of multi-millionaire Kundanlal Batra, who had expected Ashok to marry her. She soon concocts a scheme to bring discord in the Sinha family, and also ensure Ashok's ruin.

An amendment in Independent India comes where kingdoms are seized and people from Royal family are no longer rulers. One such kingdom is about to be seized from Vipin Kumar who refuses to lose his position. He continues to rule the jurisdiction as king and compels people to pay tax to him. People protest against this and one such person is police Inspector Dhirendra Singh (Rajesh Khanna). Because of this, he is transferred to a small village. His parents arrange his marriage with Janki (Hema) who is the daughter of Dhirendra's father's childhood friend. But Janki is in love with Manu Pratap Singh (Dharmendra). Due to an enmity between two families, Janki's aunt warns her that their love would not be accepted by Janki's father. But both of them are strong in their love and have an affair. Manu Pratap Singh's younger brother Bhanu (Vinod Khanna) is in love with an orphan girl Kamli. All are happy until Raja Jaipal Singh rapes Kamli and she runs away from the village. Meanwhile Jaipal Singh says he wants to marry Janki, which angers her father as he is the father of teenage girl even if he's a king.

Thakur Virendra Singh lives a wealthy lifestyle in India along with his wife and a son, Kumar (Ranjeet). His relative Bihari (Om Shivpuri) is envious, and successfully switches his son, Kishan (Rajesh Khanna), with Kumar, and also ends up killing Virendra. In this manner, Kumar grows up a wealthy lifestyle, while Kishan lives a poor lifestyle, shunned by his father and his mother, who has lost the use of her vocal cords. Bihari takes Kishan to his brother in Bombay, and leaves him there to lead a life of crime. 20 years later, Kishan has grown up and is now a master burglar. He meets with another burglar, Mary (Tina Munim), and both decide to be fifty fifty partners. However, Mary has other plans, she ditches Kishan and joins forces with Diwan Shamsher Singh (Kader Khan) to masquerade as the long-lost daughter of Ranimaa of Chandpur. Mary does not know that it was the Diwan who has done away with Rajkumari Ratna, and he will not hesitate to kill Mary - or anyone else who dares to stand in his way and the treasure of Chandpur.

The plot is an intricately woven one. It starts from childhood with the story of Ashok (also called Shoki by his childhood friend Vinod) (Dharmendra) who is a wealthy industrialist's only son. He is passionate about cars from childhood befriends Vinod (Vinod Khanna) who is passionate about trains; its his dream to make India's fastest train. Rakesh (Vinod Mehra) shares same passion as Vinod. Randhir (Danny Denzongpa) is in a tussle from childhood to make a better train than Vinod's. Childhood turns into adulthood and one day both attend a dance function organised by the Indian Railways. This is where Ashok and Vinod fall in love with two beautiful women: Seema (Hema Malini) and Sheetal (Parveen Babi). Ashok is now deeply in love with Seema and they are planning to get married after their engagement. Vinod is married to Sheetal and they have a son Raju. One day Vinod, who is now a top notch railway engineer, gets awarded with the contract to build a super-fast express train between New Delhi and Mumbai. Rakesh (Vinod Mehra) is his assistant. Randhir, the losing engineer and ex-lover of Sheetal, swears revenge and leaves.

Raibahadur Satpal Singh (Nazir Husain) is killed cold-blooded in a remote village. He is survived by his twin daughters Rekha & Rashmi (both played by Rekha). Rekha manages their business with the help of their chief estate manager Deewan (A. K. Hangal) along with his son and factory manager Kishore (Danny). Rashmi and Kishore are in love with each other which displeases Rekha, who sends Rashmi abroad to attend a painting course. On the other hand, Rekha too is disinterested about her marriage. Meanwhile, driving through their estate, Rekha's car breaks down and is helped by Prem (Shashi Kapoor), with a golden hand for such machines. After a few meets, both fall in love with each other. After a few days, Rekha announces her engagement with Prem to the surprise of everyone around. She also wills to assign the entire estate to Rashmi before engagement. During the engagement, when Rekha's Police Inspector friend Vikas shows up to wish the couple for the occasion, Prem is suspiciously found missing. The next evening, the couple go out to spend private time on a house-boat anchored in a lake on their estate. Later in the stormy night, Rekha finds Prem missing from the boat and starts looking for him. While searching, someone pushes her in the lake, but not before Rekha glimpses the shadow of this person. Everyone at the estate is surprised with the news of Rekha's death. Meanwhile, she survives and reaches the house of her friend Pinky (Aruna Irani). Once there, Rekha learns about Rashmi's arrival for Rekha' funeral, and both plan to investigate the incident. On the other hand, Kishore, Prem and the Police too start their investigation separately to unmask the killer. Meanwhile, when Rashmi (Rekha disguised) meets him, Prem discloses the intense love for Rekha. She finds quite a few on her suspect list. Kishore wills to go to any extent to marry Rashmi. Prem for his suspicious movements. The staff at their estate, like the cook (Jagdeep), house keeper Ambu (Lalita Pawar) et al. The story progresses and after a few thrilling sequences, the murderer is revealed in the climax.
