Dick Tracy (1937) is a 15-Chapter Republic movie serial starring Ralph Byrd based on the Dick Tracy comic strip by Chester Gould. It was directed by Alan James and Ray Taylor.
Synopsis
L'ennemi de Dick Tracy pour cette série est le chef du crime et le méchant mystérieux masqué Spider / the Lame One (les deux noms sont utilisés) et son Spider Ring. [3] Au cours de divers crimes, notamment en utilisant son aile volante et son arme sonore pour détruire le Bay Bridge à San Francisco et en volant un "avion rapide" expérimental, The Spider capture le frère de Dick Tracy, Gordon. Boroff is a mad scientist who has invented a "disintegrator gas" and plans to smuggle it to his buyers in Morovania. When his ship, the Carfax, gets stranded on outlying rocks in the first chapter, the Coast Guard comes to rescue him. In 1941, an American aviator, 'Smilin' Jack' Martin wishes to resign as an advisor to the Nationalist Chinese Army in order to return to the United States to enlist as an aviator in America's military buildup prior to the attack on Pearl Harbor.
