Rekha Bhardwaj (also spelled 'Bharadwaj') is an Indian playback singer. She is known in the industry for her distinctive singing style. She is the recipient of a National Film Award for the Best Female Playback Singer for the film Ishqiya in 2011. In 2012, she won the Filmfare Award for Best Playback Singer (Female) along with Usha Uthup for the song "Darling" from 7 Khoon Maaf. She is married to the famous director, producer, and music composer, Vishal Bharadwaj.

Bobo (Emraan Hashmi) is India's top magician, a star. But unknown to even his beautiful girlfriend Tamara (Huma Qureshi), his life is falling apart. Hallucinations about his dead little sister Misha are casting a dark shadow on his life, threatening his very sanity. He is shown to be frequently drawn to his old vacant family apartment, where in the latest visit, he opens the lid of a treasure chest in one of the rooms, only to see a vision of his little sister Misha dead inside with a lizard crawling over the body. Tamara tracks him down to the apartment at the same time, taking him back to the room and opening the chest, only to find Misha's old doll inside. This latest hallucination proves to be too much, and Bobo is left with no option but to seek psychiatric help in the form of the rather odd Dr. Palit, who puts him under regression hypnosis to go back to the distant past, when Bobo was 11 and Misha 6.

Guddu et Charlie sont des frères qui sont nés et ont grandi à Dharavi, le quartier le plus pauvre au monde situé au cœur de Mumbai. Ce sont de vrais jumeaux âgés d'une vingtaine d'années qui rêvent de quitter cette misère pour une vie digne et plus prospère. Mais les ressemblances s'arrêtent là. Guddu est stagiaire dans une entreprise de la ville et rêve d'en gravir les échelons pour devenir un membre fiable de la bourgeoisie indienne. Son job n'est qu'un début et le chemin vers la réussite est à la fois long et difficile. Guddu est honnête, appliqué et prudent (surtout prudent). Charlie gagne sa vie en pariant sur les courses de chevaux. Il se mêle aux personnes riches et célèbres du milieu hippique. Pour lui c'est une façon de se faire de l'argent rapidement et son rêve est de devenir bookmaker. Charlie est débrouillard, futé et courageux (mais uniquement pour lui-même).
