Rajesh Joshi est un Acteur Indien né le 31 juillet 1968
Rajesh Joshi (April 1, 1970 – January 12, 1998) was an Indian film and theater actor who is well known for his roles in films such as Rangeela (Pakya) and Sarfarosh (Bala Thakur). He met with a car accident on 11 January 1998 and died the next day, aged just 28. Satya was his last movie, the credits name him as "late". Joshi was the elder brother of actor Manoj Joshi.

À la suite de représailles terroristes qui ont causé la mort de son frère et laissé son père gravement handicapé, Ajay Singh Rathod abandonne ses études, s'installeà Bombay et s'engage dans la police. Mumbai is in the midst of a turf war between two gangs, collectively referred to as the Mumbai underworld when Satya (J.D Chakravarthy), a man without a past, comes to the city looking for employment. While waiting tables at the local dance bar, he gets involved in a scuffle with Jagga (Jeeva), bag man for dreaded don Guru Narayan (Raju Mavani). Jagga takes his revenge by getting Satya arrested on false charges of pimping. In jail, Satya clashes with yet another member of Mumbai's mafia, underworld don Bhiku Mhatre (Manoj Bajpai), who is in prison pending trial for the murder of a prominent film producer. Mhatre, pleased with Satya's bravado, extends a hand of friendship and arranges for his release as well as accommodation. With Mhatre's help, Satya avenges himself by gunning down Jagga in the very same dance bar and joins Mhatre's gang.

Raja (Akshay Kumar), a good for nothing trying to get rich, impersonates Parimal Chaturvedi, a school professor and involves into a school of beautiful rich woman. He falls for rich girl Pooja (Urmila Matondkar). Then he wins her heart. Trouble comes when Pooja's dad Prakash (Anupam Kher) mistakes Raja for Rocky (also Akshay Kumar), who is a lookalike of Raja and is a ruthless and merciless criminal who blackmails people for money or threatens to kill them. Prakash is also on Rocky's payroll. Prakash asks Raja for help, so Raja impersonates Rocky to get his secrets and Prakash's money. But tables are turned when Rocky finds out about Raja's game. Raja wakes up and finds himself kidnapped in Rocky's mansion. He then realizes he has been drugged for the past 7 days, and in these 7 days, Rocky has posed as Raja and is getting married to Pooja. Raja is tricked and arrested under the name of Rocky. Raja manages to escape and crashes the wedding where he tells the truth and Rocky escapes. Raja follows him to an multi-story building where the two fight brutally. Rocky is in the lead and knocks Raja out. Raja uses full power to get back up and pushes Rocky off the building, who falls to his death. Raja and Pooja then get married.

The plot of the movie is broadly similar to Twain's The Prince and the Pauper. Two boys are born on the same day. One is Rahul Mehta (Chandrachur Singh), born with a silver spoon in his mouth to a rich family in England; another is Baalu (Arshad Warsi), born in a middle-class Brahmin family somewhere in Mumbai. Both grow up until they are destined to exchange places on their 22nd birthday.

Mili est une jeune fille moderne issue de la classe moyenne de Bombay qui travaille comme danseuse figurante dans l'industrie bollywoodienne. Elle court les castings dans l'espoir d'être reconnue et d'incarner un jour l'héroïne principale d'un film. Son ami d'enfance, Muna, est un jeune orphelin de la trempe du "loser", menteur, tricheur, voleur, bagarreur... Il vend des places de cinéma au black et vit de petits délits. Mais il a aussi un grand cœur et encourage depuis toujours Mili à persévérer dans ses projets, même s'ils se chamaillent souvent, pour se rabibocher très vite. Après une répétition, Muna réalise que la teneur de ses sentiments envers Mili a évolué et qu'il est amoureux. Il en fait part à son meilleur ami mais n'arrive pas à déclarer sa flamme à Mili, tant il est persuadé qu'elle se moquera de lui.
