À la suite du meurtre inexpliqué et mystérieux d'un veilleur de nuit dans un centre commercial (il a eu la peau arrachée et on retrouve sur son cadavre une substance visqueuse verte), Evan décide de créer une milice pour retrouver le meurtrier et sécuriser la ville. Trois candidats se présentent mais le groupe a du mal à démarrer sa mission. Pendant ce temps un voisin fort troublant vient d'emménager dans la maison voisine d'Evan, et un jeune skateur se fait volatiliser en sortant du poste de police. Après une confrontation avec un extraterrestre, le groupe finit par réaliser que les extraterrestres sont partout et prennent la peau de leurs victimes terriennes pour se dissimuler parmi la population. Ils soupçonnent alors le voisin d'Evan et s'infiltrent chez lui, mais la piste s'avère fausse, le voisin n'étant qu'un organisateur de partouses. L'un des quatre miliciens, Jamarcus reste à la fête pendant qu'une femme lui fait une fellation. Rejoignant le groupe un peu plus tard il avouera être un alien, et que cet acte sexuel lui a révélé la sensibilité des Terriens. Il explique à ses trois camarades le plan d'invasion de la Terre par les Aliens et leur explique comment le contrecarrer.

11 août 2011, des Marines sont appelés à intervenir à Los Angeles, au commencement pour ce qui semblait être une simple pluie de météorites qui tombe au large de grandes villes côtières à travers le monde. Il s'avère qu'ils vont en réalité devoir affronter les forces d'invasion et de colonisation d'extraterrestres, puissamment organisées, dont l'objectif est de s'approprier les ressources en eau de notre planète Terre. Sous la pression de la technologie avancée de ces derniers (usage intensif de drones de combat), l'armée américaine doit peu à peu se replier et abandonner la ville sous peine d'anéantissement total. Un peloton de Marines du 2e bataillon du 5e régiment de Marines commandé par le sergent Michael Nantz, un vétéran, a pour ultime mission de sauver un groupe de civils restés bloqués dans une zone de combats. Durant l'extraction, le sergent Nantz arrive à repérer un PC opérationnel alien et à le faire détruire par une frappe de missiles. Ce faisant, il permet la libération de l'espace aérien, enfin débarrassé des drones aliens, afin que les combats pour la reconquête de la ville puissent commencer.

Intelligent aliens who have been studying Earth for centuries decide to challenge mankind by sending in a 185-foot, laser-eyed monster called Zarkorr to wreak city-crushing havoc. Only one incredibly average young man, postal worker Tommy Ward (Rhys Pugh), can find the beast's weakness and save the planet with the help of a 6-inch-tall pixie (Torie Lynch), who says she is "a mental image projected into his brain" by the aliens. She explains that Zarkorr cannot be destroyed by weapons, but that the key to the monster's destruction lies within the monster itself. Tommy, chosen as an average human, is the one destined to fight Zarkorr, who is programmed to kill him. Tommy asks scientist Dr. Stephanie Martin (De'Prise Grossman) for advice about his mission, but everyone thinks he is crazy. He takes the scientist hostage, but manages to explain his predicament to one of the policemen, who believes him and helps him escape. Dr. Martin agrees to help him. Using computers belonging to a friend of hers, they establish that the monster, which is destroying city after city in the style of Godzilla, neither sleeps nor breathes. Going to the place where the monster first appeared, they come into possession of a strange metallic capsule that fell out of the sky at the time the monster arrived. It is believed to be unopenable, but it opens by itself for Tommy as he touches it. He uses the top of the capsule as a shield, reflecting Zarkorr's laser rays back at him, and the monster dissolves into a small glowing sphere flying into space. Tommy is taken to hospital to recover; a TV reporter congratulates him for saving the world, and he jokes he might run for president.

In Gaea’s atmosphere the Jointrons and the Seacons battle each other but both factions are interrupted by the arrival of a large space ship which rams into them and sends them all flying into space before crash landing on the planet, and the Maximals and Predacons are immediately alerted. On the Galvaburg II, Gigastorm recommends destroying the ship but Galvatron is interested and believes it may hold good fortune for the Predacons. On the Yukikaze Lio Convoy orders a unit sent to investigate the ship but Lio Junior, Lio Convoy’s son, wishes to go but the other Maximals shoot him down, but Tasmania Kid stands up for him and asks if both can go and Lio Convoy approves and has Stanton and Skywarp accompany also. The 4 Maximals arrive at the ship and discover a “teleport gate”, an ancient device capable of opening a doorway into the past and transporting any living creature into the present, Transformers included but it requires a control unit to function. When Lio Junior finds it the Predacon Combaticons Hellscream, Dirgegun, Thrustor and Max-B swoop in and steals it but Lio Junior dives off after it alone and the Predacons overpower and nearly kill him, but before Hellscream can fire a finishing blow Kid takes the hit as the other Maximals arrive and scare off the Predacons and secure the control unit.

The movie's plot involves Nobita, who throws a temper tantrum because he wants a really large RC toy robot in order to upstage the rich kid, Suneo, who has been showing off the new robot that his cousin made. His fit makes Doraemon angry and he uses his Anywhere Door to get anyway from the summer heat cool off at the North Pole. Sometime later, Nobita follows and a discovers a strange bowling ball-like orb which starts blinking with a pulsating light, and summons what looks like a giant robot´s foot. After Nobita uses the foot to sled down, crashing into his room through the Anywhere Door, the bowling ball follows him home through the door and another robot piece falls into his backyard. A frozen Doraemon follows soon after, covered in ice before being thawed out and with a cold. Learning of the robot parts, Doraemon admits to Nobita that he has nothing to do with it as the two use the Opposite World Entrance Oil and the Roll-Up Fishing Hole to enter the World Inside the Mirror, an alternate mirror world without people. There, they built the robot which Nobita christens the name "Zanda Claus" as he believed the sphere summoning the parts is from Santa Claus.
