Aitaré da Praia tell's the history of one young man called Aitaré who fall's in love with his girlfriend Cora. Cora doesn't like her enthusiasm and after a few misunderstandings between them, when they came back to the big city (Recife), she decides to broke up the relationship with him. Fernanda is a married woman with two children who meets Miguel, a male prostitute after hitting him in a car accident. They meet again when he steals her wallet and drops an advertising of the club where he works. When her husband travels, Fernanda and Miguel go to Santos, saying they would accompany until the port a woman who would go to Paris. They go aboard a ship that goes to Salvador, where they pass the New Year's Day. However, when Fernanda eventually discovers Miguel is a cocaine addict she returns to her family.
The film opens with Lígia, a barmaid who is fed up with her grueling routine and who is forced to routinely turn down the sexual propositions of the bar's customers. One of the men who hits on Lígia is Isaac, a necrophiliac who enjoys sodomizing corpses and drinking their blood. He lives at the Texas Hotel, where Dunga, a gay man, works as a handyman. Dunga is attracted to Wellington, a butcher who delivers meat to the hotel. Wellington, however, is married to Kika, a woman who is proud to be an evangelical Christian. However, Wellington cheats on his wife with a woman named Dayse. Dayse tires of being Wellington's mistress and tells Dunga about the relationship.
