Sridhar Vasudevan (Madhavan) is a middle-class family man employed in a bank. Sridhar is very idealistic, principled and recognises a deep sense of belonging with the society he is part of. He gets annoyed and flustered by illegal and semi legal activities happening around him. His wife persistently demands that he should be more 'flexible' and make more money, but Sridhar does not accede. He endures the illegal and semi legal activities around him because he anticipates a change in the mindsets of people. He feels that over time, they will become more honest, socially aware and willing to make small personal sacrifices for the greater good of all (like him).

Nasik-based Heerendra Dhaan (Ajay Devgan) and Raj Ranade (Prashant Raj Sachdev) are bodyguards of a politician but, after their employer is implicated in a scam, they end up assaulting a police officer and flee to Mumbai. Once there they meet with Rambhabhai (Rajpal Yadav), who in turn, gets them employed with a gangster named Shambhu. After a short while the duo are apprehended by Police Inspector Narsimha, questioned, and after they agree to cooperate to bring down Shambhu, are let go. The two succeed in assisting the police arrest Shambhu, but they themselves are arrested, tried in Court, and sentenced to a year in jail.

Champak Chaturvedi (Paresh Rawal) the director of a theatre group, is offered a chance to perform a show in London. Bunty (Akshay Kumar) and Babla (Govinda) are two derps and flirts in his group, always fighting with each other to get the role of the hero. Their behaviour causes the actress (Tanushree Dutta) to run away. This really upsets the organizer, who offered the chance mainly because of the heroine. After reaching London, Champak tells the duo that whoever gets a new actress will get to become hero. Then Babla asks Gullu (Rajpal Yadav), a local driver where he can find a heroine. Gullu misinterprets this as prostitute and directs him to a park.

Raj Jaiswal (Arjun Rampal) est l'animateur de télévision de son propre talk-show, Raj est un coureur de jupons. Il promet à chaque femme avec qui il flirte de l'épouser, toutefois, secrètement, il a juré de rester célibataire pour toujours. Un jour, il rencontre une femme mystérieuse, Shivani Dutt (Vipasha Agarwal) Sur son balcon qui prétend que son appartement est en fait le sien. Raj est instantanément amoureux d'elle. Toutefois, il s'avère qu'il est le seul qui puisse la voir et la toucher. Pour tout le monde c'est comme s'il se parle à lui-même. Ses amis disent que Raj se laisse aller, mais Raj refuse, car il est tombé amoureux de la femme fantôme. Il découvre que Shivani est en fait dans le coma à l'hôpital, et les machines qui la retiennent en vie sont sur le point d'être coupées. Raj décide de la sauver, il l'emmène à son appartement pour s'occuper d'elle. Le médecin de Shivani veut la tuer comme elle a été témoin d'une opération illégale d'un rein qui a été retiré d'un homme. Shivani admet finalement qu'elle est tombée amoureuse de Raj, mais l'inspecteur Smith est sur sa piste et finit par trouver Shivani et découvre aussi le trafic d'organes du médecin. Peu de temps après, Shivani se réveille de son coma et ne se souvient pas de Raj et le temps qu'elle a passé avec lui, comme un fantôme. Raj, déçu, ses feuilles à l'hôpital et décide de faire sa connaissance à nouveau: il la trouve dans un restaurant et se présente.

Kishen (Anil Kapoor) a une femme jalouse, Kaajal (Lara Dutta), qui croit toujours qu'il a une maîtresse, alors qu'il lui est extrêmement fidèle et n'a pas la moindre idée de la trahir. Prem (Salman Khan) est mariée depuis plusieurs années à Pooja (Esha Deol) qui lui fait confiance alors que, à son insu croit-il, il entretient de nombreuses liaisons avec des jolies femmes, mais à la fin elle lui révèle qu'elle savait tout dès le début et pensait qu'il allait changer (« Je veux que tu sois mon mari chaque fois que j'aurai un enfant »). Il y a aussi l'ami de Kishen, Sunny (Fardeen Khan) alias Shekhar, qui tombe par hasard amoureux de Sanjana (Celina Jaitley). Kishen rencontre Bobby (Bipasha Basu), une call-girl. (Elle a été recrutée par Prem, qui a surpris Kishen prenant des photos de lui et de sa maîtresse et menacé de les envoyer à sa femme. Le plan est que Kishen tombe amoureux d'elle, et Prem veut voir s'il pourra cacher sa liaison.) Par la suite, Bobby et Kishen sont présentés comme un couple aux fiançailles de Shekhar et il se trouve que Kaajal est, elle aussi, invitée au mariage de Sunny et Sanjana. On devine comme la situation s'embrouille au moment où tous les couples se rencontrent.
