Arpita Chatterjee (Bengali: অর্পিতা) is an actress in the Tollywood Bengali language film industry of India. She is the present wife of Prosenjit Chatterjee. She made her film debut in 1999 with the film Tumi Ele Tai, directed by Prabhat Roy.
She is a complete mix of beauty, grace and talent. An ace actor, she is a familiar face in the Bengali film world. Arpita always loved facing the camera and she still does so. As leading actor Prasenjit Chatterjee’s better half, she is well known in the film world as the First Lady of Tollywood. While at the helm of acting, Arpita decided to quit films and take up the role of a doting wife and a caring mother. Today, she is back into acting, once again. Some of the films which made Arpita a name in the film fraternity include Deba, Debdas, Inqlab,Prem Shakti, Pratarok, Dada Thakur,Pratibad, Utsab and Anupama.
