The film stars Rajat Kapoor, Vinay Pathak, Sarika, Milind Soman and Ranvir Shorey in lead roles. It released on 13 April 2007, and received favourable reviews from critics. Though made on a small budget, the film managed to do very well at the box office. This film was based on the French movie Le Dîner de Cons. The 2010 Hollywood film Dinner for Schmucks was also based on the same French film.
It is the first installment of Bheja Fry trilogy.
Synopsis
Ranjeet Thadani (Rajat Kapoor) is a music producer married to Sheetal (Sarika) a singer. Ranjeet and his friends get together every Friday for a party. This is a different kind of party where they invite idiots to ridicule them behind the scenes and calling them "talent". They enjoy doing it so much that they don't even mind missing out on family appointments.Acteurs

Ajit Talwar (Kay Kay Menon) is a business tycoon. The movie starts with an interview of Ajit Talwar in a News Channel. Ajit Talwar has a broad business unit. Ajit Talwar is married to Naina Talwar (Rukshar) but still Ajit Talwar is a womanizer who has an affair with his secretary played by Spanta Patel (Kishwar Merchant). Ajit Talwar has a friend Kapoor (Rahul Vohra) whose wife Raveena (Aditi Govitrikar) runs a TV channel. Kapoor invites Ajit to the final episode of Aao Guess Karein, a TV Reality show aired on Kapoor's TV channel. The finalist of the show is the protagonist Bharat Bhushan (Vinay Pathak), who wins ₹ 25 Lakh and a chance to journey in a luxurious Cruise. The Executive Producer of the show Ranjini (Minissha Lamba) asks Bharat Bhushan, how would he utilise the prize money. Bhushan says by producing a music album.

Sunil Arora and his wife Malti with their son Avi lead a typical middleclass life in Mumbai metro. Having completed 10 years of marriage, Sunil feels he is getting old and is not able to satisfy his wife's advances in bedroom. Sammy (Saurabh Shukla) and Vinay (Vinay Pathak) are Sunil's colleagues in his office and they share their domestic issues as a pastime. After this Sunil gets obsessed with the concept and starts planning to "swing". Malti is upset with Sunil's obsession and does not give into his new found love. Still, Sunil starts connecting to possible swingers by responding to magazine ads and finally gets hold of Mr. Vinod Khanna and they agree to meet once to get everybody's consensus.
