The film's plot revolves around a family which struggles due to the bad effects of alcohol addiction.
The film features Srinagar Kitty (credited as Krishna), Bhavana and newcomer Sonu Gowda in pivotal roles. The film score and soundtrack were composed by Sadhu Kokila. The cinematography was done by Suri's previous associate Satya Hegde and was edited by Deepu S. Kumar.
The film was released on 29 February 2008 to mixed reviews from the critics. While the cinematography, music direction and art director received praises, the film's screenplay and direction was criticized for glorifying the alcoholism. The film was declared a musical hit with its soundtrack hitting high on popularity. For the year 2008-09, the film bagged the Karnataka State Film Awards for the Best Music (Sadhu Kokila) and Best Female Playback Singer (Vani Harikrishna).
Synopsis
Rajeev (Srinagar Kitty), hailing from a well-to-do family is a painter by passion. He falls in love with his friend's sister Namana (Sonu) much to the disapproval of his friend. The lovers part ways after some high level drama. Rajeev, dejected in life, hits the bar and begins to drink alcohol. He gradually goes to the highest level of addiction and spends his entire days drinking and getting abused by other people.Acteurs

Shivlingu a.k.a. Shivu, an innocent villager who works as a manual laborer in stone quarry realizes that his mother is seriously ill. He gets his mother to Bangalore for treatment, but his mother dies and he is unable to arrange finances for her funeral. He manages to pay with the only ornament he had in order to carry out the funeral of his mother. Junglee Prabhakar Duniya Vijay wants to become an actor and takes the help of Gudde Narasimha Rangayana Raghu, a good for nothing person who however is very influential. Gudde takes him to a retired Don Guruswamy for getting him a film offer. Meanwhile, Junglee falls in love with a college girl Padma Andritha Ray and tries his best to please her. During one of the inter gang fights between rival groups, Junglee saves Guruswamy. But Padma's father is killed in the process. Junglee, with the body and swiftness of a cheetah, fights hard and saves the kid. Soon, predictably, Junglee becomes the don's right hand man, an expert in attacks and counter-attacks. But Junglee falls in love and just like any woman, Padma (Andrita Ray) his lover, asks him to abandon his profession to marry her. Now Junglee is in a dilemma. On the one hand, the don will kill him if he leaves; on the other hand is Padma, who truly loves him. The rest forms the climax.

Janakirama alias Jackie (Puneet Rajakumar) is an 8th standard living with his mother Jayamma who operates a flour mill in a village. Jackie is a guy who dreams of making it big; but not by hard work. He is an expert card player and thinks he can repay all his debts with earnings from it. He does every job and hopes he would one day make it big as a realtor. Guru (Prajwal) and Vishwa (Tarun) are the best friends from the same village. They migrate to Bangalore city in search of a job and better living. Out of greed to make quick money, they join the anti-social gang who are threatening the common lives of Bangalore. Coincidently, Guru and Vishwa join the two rival gangs who are constantly against each other. In due course, Guru kills Vishwa's boss and this enrages Vishwa who sets vengeance against Guru's boss. Vishwa becomes the leader of the gang and kills Guru's boss eventually. This leads to a massive clash between the two groups and Vishwa's wife (Kirat) tries to match up between the old friends but to no avail. A tough cop (Duniya Vijay) gets deployed to handle the case and what happens next forms the crux of the story.
