The story of this film is a combination of the 1999 Hollywood film Blue Streak, which itself is a remake of the 1965 British film The Big Job, and the 1979 Bollywood film Gol Maal.
Synopsis
Fortunately, before his arrest Shyam manages to hide the diamonds at a nearby construction site, intending to return for it as soon as he gets out of prison. Two years pass and Shyam's release date arrives. Returning to his ill-gotten gains, he is horrified to discover that what was once a building site is now a new police headquarters with his stolen diamonds forming part of the foundation. Shyam decides to create and play the role of Inspector Ram and soon becomes the favourite of ACP Ranbir Singh (Paresh Rawal) at the police station.Acteurs

Sapna (Karisma Kapoor), orpheline dès son plus jeune âge, a été élevée par ses trois oncles paternels : Bhola Nath (Om Puri) qui n’est intéressé que par l’exercice physique pour garder un corps d’athlète, Prabhu Nath (Paresh Rawal) qui loue la religion et Vicky Nath (Anupam Kher) dont la modernité et les goûts occidentaux exaspèrent ses frères. Sapna est maintenant une charmante jeune fille et ses trois oncles se mettent en tête de lui trouver un mari. Mais seul un homme partageant les passions des trois oncles pourra épouser Sapna. Bien que celle-ci ait toujours fait de son mieux pour respecter les souhaits de ses oncles, elle trouve cette fois qu’ils vont trop loin et décide de partir seule en voyage en Suisse. Raja Oberoi (Salman Khan) qui participe au même voyage tombe amoureux de Sapna mais celle-ci ne semble pas partager les mêmes sentiments. Mais lorsque Raja lui vient en aide, Sapna réalise qu’elle l’aime et tous deux décident de se marier en Inde. Dès leur retour au pays, le père de Raja (Kader Khan) se rend chez les trois oncles de Sapna pour demander sa main mais il ne peut garantir que son fils répondra aux exigences des trois oncles en se montrant sportif, pieux et moderne.

A woman Neha (Ramya Krishnan) witnesses the murder of a friend of her named Madhu (Divya Dutta) by a notorious smuggler Zorawar (Paresh Rawal) but she skips while being chased by Zorawar's goons and ends up in the secure custody of police inspector Arjun Singh (Amitabh Bachchan), a friend of police inspector Pyare Mohan (Govinda). In reality, Neha, unaware of their identities, believes Arjun to be "Pyare", about whom she was agreeably apprised of by Madhu, and so, Arjun has to impersonate Pyare, giving rise to hilarious situations. Concurrently, Pyare flirts with Seema (Raveena Tandon) - Arjun's sister. Everything could have been passable for the two cops if two lookalikes of the cops, by the nicknames "Bade Miyan" (Amitabh Bachchan) and "Chote Miyan" (Govinda) had not been a cause of concern for them because of the misdeeds they commit leading to Arjun and Pyare being accused as the miscreants everytime. With background scores of the songs (specially "Bade Miyan Toh Bade Miyan") that stir the listeners, the movie advances through scenes of thrill and amusement.
