Kaa (Odia: କା) is an 1966 Oriya film directed by Sharada Prasana Nayak under pseudonymity screen name of Siddharth. The film is based on Kahnu Charan Mohanty's award wining literary masterpiece in the same name. The Film glorifies the story of a barren woman, who induced her husband to marry another woman for the sake of a child.
Synopsis
Nandika (Parbati Ghosh) and Sunanda (Gaura Ghosh) are happily lived together with mother-in -law Abhaya (Manimala Devi) and sister-in law Kuni. After seven years of marriage still Nadika is childless. Abhaya always worries about successor of her family. The friends and relatives always blame and offend Nanika for her barrenness. At last Nandika decides to sacrifice and convinces Sunanda to remarry a girl for the sake of a child. With lot of pressure from his mother and wife, Sunanda decides to remarry. Sunanda marries Lalita (Geetarani). After marriage Lalita compels Sunanda not to live with his family and first wife. At last Lalita and Sunanda live saperately from their family. Time passes away and the destiny tells another thing. One day Nandika finds she is pregnant, by knowing this Lalita becomes envious and fears about Sunanda, as he may not returns to Nandika. Nandika dies after giving birth to a child. Lalita understands her fault and adopts Nandika's child as her own child. the family again live happily.Acteurs

Prasanna Choudhury is famous doctor and lives in Puri with his sister Anuaradha and brother Ashok. One day while traveling with her brother Ashok in sea shore, Anuradha finds a man lying unconsciousness in the tides. She rescues the man with the help of Ashok and bring him to her home. With the treatment of doctor Prasanna and timely nursing of Anuradha, the man named Debabrata goes well. In the meantime Anuradha and Debabrata fall in love. By knowing this Prasanna have no choice but agrees to the marriage of Anuradha and Debabrata. While reaching Debarata's home, Anuradha finds that he is a widower and has a son. Anuradha feels betrayed but as a devoted wife forgets everything and tries to adjust with the family. Gradually she takes care Debrabrat's family and also his son. Debabrata's sister Bhanu can't accept Anuradha and creates misunderstanding between wife and husband. At last biased Debabrata leaves the house with his son ignoring his wife Anuradha. But Anuradha doesn't lose hope. With her determination, sacrifice and devotion, the family unites at last.

Kedar Babu is a freedom fighter since the days of Gandhiji's call for the Civil Disobedience Movement. Keadr Babu has lost his wife at an early stage of his marriage. Since then, he has brought up his only son Sangram with all paternal affection. In the town, Sangram stays in the house of a Zamindar Bahudur Surriyakant Singh. During his stay in the Zamindar's house, Sangram experiences the gradual moral setback of a feudal system and the irresponsible and unethical practices in the library. This puts him in a state of dilemma and delusion. When he met Dukhi & Bhaiga, all of his suspicion cleared and every body approved marriage of Prakash & Sabitri.
