Ogo Bodhu Shundori (Bengali: ওগো বধূ সুন্দরী; English:Hey Beautiful Bride) is a 1981 Bengali comedy film, directed by Salil Dutta. It was one of the last films of the iconic Bengali actor Uttam Kumar, who died during production. A lookalike was brought in to stand in for Kumar during the final sections of the film, and younger brother Torun Kumar's voice was dubbed in.

The music was composed by Bappi Lahiri. The movie is a Bengali reworking of the story of Pygmalion, heavily drawing upon the hit British musical My Fair Lady.

Synopsis

Gagan (Uttam Kumar) did not like to socialise while his wife Chitra (Sumitra Mukherjee) loved attending parties. One day Chitra's friend Lola invited her to a party. In the meanwhile the Kolkata Book Fair took off and Gagan wanted to go. Savitri (Moushumi Chatterjee) lived with her uncle from an early age. One day her uncle sold her for some money from where Savitri escaped and took shelter in Gagan's house. When Gagan's wife saw Savitri in Gagan's reading room, she went to her grandfather's house. Gagan and Abalakanta (Santosh Dutta) helped Savitri learn etiquette and the ways of genteel society.

A romantic comedy based on Samaresh Basu's populer novel, Nater Guru revolues around four main leads, Robi, Shashi Bhushan, Sulochona and Manisha. Shashi and Suluchona are an estranged couple who are mutually separated from each other but not divorced legally. The separation is out of misunderstandings, egoism and preconceived notions from both sides. After 15 years, Sulochona is a business tycoon while Shashibushan is a worthless race course bookie. Their only daughter Manisha is a dancer, and resides with her mother. Sulochana suffers a heart attack and Manisha unable to get help turns to her father. The father-daughter combo decide that the ailing Sulochona can't be given any stress or anxiety. Hence they carry a stealth operation. They decide to hire Shashi's friend and ally Rabi (Jeet) Maitra and present him as Durgadas. Rabi is required by Manisha to give proxy whenever necessary. He becomes regular. But the two often quarrel and fight over irrelevant issues. Rabi gets insulted by the behaviour of Manisha. Rabi touches Sulochona's feet as Durgadasand brings forth his singing prowess. The music actually heals Sulochona and she is able to walk again. Sulochona loves Rabi. Meanwhile, Sulachona accidentally unravels Rabi's onginality. Suluchona admires Rabi's honesty and self-esteem. Rabi's honesty and simplicity makes Manisha fall in love with him. Durgadas creates trouble. But with Shashi's cooperation the lovers reunite. Shashi and Sulochona rediscover their long lost love and the couple get reunited.

Dr. Deepak lives with his wealthy father, a Thakur, in a small town in India. While the Thakur would like to get Deepak to marry a woman from an equally wealthy family, he has fallen in love with a poor woman named Asha, and would like to marry her. Pratap is perturbed by this doctor, who seems to know him very well, and wants him to leave his job at the chemical company, and start practicing medicine in the small town where they live. What Pratap does not know that this doctor is none other than his biological father, Deepak. What both don't know is what steps the Thakur will take when he finds out that Pratap is none other than his grandson.

Les sentiments s’en mêlent, en même temps que se révèle la véritable identité de cette belle escorte.
