Dr. Baladevi (Seema) is a gynecologist. She lost her parents at a young age and is deeply attached to her only brother Thilakan (Shankar). Thilakan gets an opportunity to pursue his study in U. S. As he was about to depart, he tells Baladevi about his girlfriend Subhashini and wanted Baladevi to take care of her. The twist comes when Subhashini informs Baladevi that she was raped by a man and is pregnant. She wants Baladevi to abort her child. However, she dies during the MTP surgery and Baladevi gets into an allegation and legal case related to that death. A case is filed by Subhashini's cousin Ramu (Mohanlal), who also tries to blackmail Baladevi for money. Baladevi is helped by Adv. Jayamohan (Mammootty), who has a weakness for ladies. The verdict came in favour of Baladevi, who eventually falls for Jayamohan, whose lifestyle changes after involving in relation with her. Meanwhile, Jayamohan also reveals that Subhashini has had relations with many men including him, and Ramu was a pimp than a cousin for her.The story is based on the novel by P.R Shyamala,published in 1984.

V Sukumaran (Mammootty) is an upcoming youth wing leader of a minor party in the ruling coalition. His wife, Valsala (Shanthi Krishna) is a college lecturer and she takes care of family life which includes their school going son, Unni. She grows more and more tired of Sukumaran's lack of attention to her and family. Sukumaran is being taken advantage by party leadership who burdens him with nasty tasks while his junior co-workers accepts bribe in his name. They also invades to family's privacy and finance.

It is a political film on trade union and its functioning in factories. The story revolves a trade union and company owner. She brings new manager Mohan Cheriyan (Mohanlal) to solve the company issues with trade union leaders. When the company was about to lay off due to union problems, Raghavan (Mammootty)suggest a new formula for solving the company issues and this leads to save the company. finally Raghavan was killed by his own men. Rakkuyilin Ragasadassil is a family drama happening in a marital life with Mammootty and Suhasini playing the lead roles. The film starts with the comeback of Mr. Viswanathan (Mammootty), a well-known musician of past. He was in love with his college mate and a dancer Janani( Suhasini). Due to this, the couple faced several problems from her own father and the college principal Ragan Vaidyanathan (Adoor Bhasi). But finally they managed to get married. Soon after their marriage, their ego and professional jealousy started causing problems in their life. After a very short married life, Viswanathan leaves the house with their son. During his comeback their son meets Janani. Janani was trying to achieve Natyasree award in dance. Viswanathan came back to prevent this achievement. He Challenges Janani to dance to his voice. On the day of competition, Viswanathan realizes the situation and withdraws from the competition. He entrusts his son to sing instead of him. After the award, the couple rejoins.
