Nippon Animation (日本アニメーション) est un studio de production de séries d'animation japonais fondé le 3 juin 1975 par Kōichi Motohashi suite à la faillite de Zuiyo Eizo.

Très prolifique, le studio a produit de nombreuses séries connues en France comme Maya l'abeille ou encore Tom Sawyer. Le studio est également à l'origine de la saga World Masterpiece Theater.

Bien que produisant toujours, la compagnie a sorti peu de séries à succès ces dernières années.

Tottòi (Sardinian name which stands for the Italian Antonio), a boy about 14 years old, emigrated to Germany with his family. After his mother's death, his father decided to return to his home village in the Mediterranean island of Sardinia. The narrative begins when the hero sees a monk seal, although it was believed that they died out long ago.
