Suchendra Prasad (born 1973) is an Indian theater, film and television actor. Before beginning his career in Kannada cinema, he worked as theater actor with playwrights such as B. V. Karanth and D. R. Ankur. During this time, he also directed, choreographed, composed music for films, television and radio, and wrote plays.
Known for his work in parallel cinema, he first received recognition for his performance in the 1999 film Kanooru Heggadithi.

This story is about a guy named Mani (Sharan), who also is an imposter of a dreaded goon named Bottle Mani (P. Ravi Shankar). Due to this he earns the wrath of bottle Mani. Alternatively, Neelakanta Raju (Ramakrishna), a member of a royal family is a old man with three daughters and a long last son. He hopes that his son and his grandson come to him one day, while his sons-in-law want him to die as soon as possible. To get the old man killed, the three sons-in-law along with Shastri (Suchendra Prasad) go to city and contact a guy who promises him to send Mani to act like grandson of Neelakanta Raju. Instead of the original bottle Mani, he fixes up Mani so that Mani could get his mother cured with the contract money.

The film starts with an imprisoned Manja (Ganesh) recalling his love for Shyloo (Bhama) since childhood that becomes more intense as they grow. Though Shyloo's mother assures Manja of getting them married, she changes her mind and arranges for Shyloo to marry a rich family boy. Infuriated, Manja threatens to kill her. He is arrested by the police and given a 30-days prison sentence. Shyloo's mother arranges the marriage a day before his release and Manja escapes from prison. As the police officer Bhaskar and a constable Ramaiah handcuff Manja, Shyloo too goes along with him as they decide to get married after he is released from prison.
