Parvathamma Rajkumar (born 6 December, 1939) is an influential and leading Kannada film producer, distributor, and exhibitor from almost four decades. She is one of the most successful female film-entrepreneur from Karnataka, who built the empire initially on popularity of her husband Late. Dr. Rajkumar, an icon of Kannada cinema, and later on her own calibre[managerial skills] produced blockbluster films with Rajkumar and introduced her sons[heroes] - Shiv Rajkumar; Puneeth Rajkumar; and Raghavendra Rajkumar -, and many heroines - Malashri; Prema; Rakshita; Sudha Rani; and others -, into Kannada film industry.
She is honoured with numerous awards, notably, Phalke Academy award, Kannada Rajyotsava, Lifetime Achievement Award - from Government of Karnataka -, and many more. She produced 80 films as of 2012 attracting to be a guest and[or] participator in - Kannada film inaugurations and celebrations; cultural acitivities; resolving disputes among film personalities; and political protests to protect the rights of Kannadigas associated with Kannada language, legitimate Karnataka's share in interstate water disputes, protection of Kannada film industry from piracy, and protection of Kannada cinema from non-Kannada film domination.

Janakirama alias Jackie (Puneet Rajakumar) is an 8th standard living with his mother Jayamma who operates a flour mill in a village. Jackie is a guy who dreams of making it big; but not by hard work. He is an expert card player and thinks he can repay all his debts with earnings from it. He does every job and hopes he would one day make it big as a realtor. He is talkative and uses the opportunities around him to eke out a living. In the locality where he lives, a priest's daughter Yashodha (Harshika Poonacha), is in love with a photo studio owner who is actually a conduit for a human trafficker and asks Jackie to help her get married. Abhi (Puneeth Rajkumar) is a cool guy who is good at cultural activities. Bhanu's (Ramya) family approaches Abhi's Family in search of a rental house. In the beginning,there is hatred between Abhi and Bhanu,but then they start to know each other. As Bhanu is a Muslim and Abhi is a Hindu, Bhanu's father does not agree for this and he eventually comes in search of Bhanu's lover to thrash him. Abhi does not agree with her father's behavior. In college they start to fight with each other. Bhanu comes to stop them and tells that he's her father. Bhanu's Father vacates the house and they all leave for Hubli. Abhi with his friends goes in search of Bhanu in Hubli. Somehow Abhi manages to talk with bhanu as their family does not know that he was the lover. Abhi and Bhanu hug in front of their family, then they will come to know that those two were lovers. The old lady in bhanu's house advises Abhi to leave the house immediately as the men from that house will be coming from mosque after the prayer. But Abhi asks why should he be scared of them, the old lady tells him that they will try to kill you. Abhi asks why and the old lady says that ask your mother. Abhi goes to Bangalore and ask his mother about that matter what that old lady told. Abhi's mother tells him a flash back story about Abhi's Real Parents and their Assassination. She will also reveal that she was his real mother. Bhanu also will hear the same story from her grandma. After some days bhanu decides to give up her love for her family's sake and she leaves Hubli and goes to Bangalore to tell this to Abhi. Abhi also agrees with her. But Bhanu's father thinks that she ran away to marry Abhi and he tries to kill Abhi. Then there will be fight between Abhi and Bhanu's father. The old lady advices Bhanu's father to stop his cruelty. He realizes his mistake and allows Bhanu to marry Abhi.

The story revolves around Ravi (Shiva Rajkumar), the son of Ramanna (K. S. Ashwath), a Police Constable who wishes to make his son an Inspector one day. Ravi, a recent college graduate, has many opportunities to enter different fields but he goes with his father's dream of becoming an Inspector. Ramanna gets transferred into a town whose residents are troubled by the rowdy Kari Kaala (Mohan Raj). The police force in the town turns a blind eye to the acts of Kari Kaala. One day Ramanna gets information that Kari Kaala is creating trouble in the market place. Being an honest police man he goes on site to investigate where he takes him on. Hearing of trouble, Ravi too rushes to the market place. Ramanna is no match for the goon and Ravi tries to intervene before his father is killed. A fight ensues between Kari Kaala and Ravi and both are arrested by the police. Since he managed to defeat the reigning rowdy, Ravi is typecast a rowdy by the people of the town.
