Lottie Briscoe (April 19, 1883 – March 21, 1950) was an American stage and silent screen actress. She began in theatre at the age of four and as an adult was among the first to find success after making the transition from the legitimate stage to cinema. Briscoe appeared in over 94 motion pictures; she is perhaps best remembered for her time at Lubin Studios with co-star Arthur V. Johnson.

After her husband Scott (William Schallert), the sheriff of Oracle, is killed by two assailants, his widow Rose (Beverly Garland) is named temporary sheriff. That night, Rose asks Erica Page (Allison Hayes) if she can close her saloon in accordance with town regulations. The women fight, but eventually Erica closes for the night. After Rose exits, Erica tells lackey Jake (Jonathan Haze) to hire a killer, which he does, finding a man named Cane Miro (John Ireland). As Cane enters town, Rose shoots at him, mistaking him for a man she has been searching out. She apologizes. Cane tells Rose that he is going to Oracle to see town mayor Gideon Polk (Martin Kingsley).

Le Prince Ludovico de Saxe, sous la tutelle du Duc de Gondreville, est attiré par Kitty, mais le duc lui interdit toute relation avec elle du fait de sa pauvreté. Un soir où ils ont beaucoup bu, Ted et Kitty se marient, et par désespoir Jean se rend en Europe. Quelque temps plus tard, Kitty et Ted la rejoignent avec leur enfant. Mais Kitty réalise qu'il n'y a pas vraiment d'affection entre elle et Ted, elle prend alors du poison. Après sa mort, Ted retrouve Jean.
