Jeet Gannguli (born Chandrajeet Ganguly Bengali: চন্দ্রজিৎ গাঙ্গুলী), popularly known as Jeet, is a music composer and singer of Bengali and Hindi movies. Born in a distinguished family with a rich cultural heritage in Kolkata, Jeet Gannguli was initiated into the world of music at a tender age of three. Jeet is trained in Indian classical music under the guidance of his guru and father- Kali Ganguliy, a well-known musician of Calcutta. On the other hand, his bond with Western Classical, jazz and rock was shaped and nurtured by the famous Jazz guru and Guitarist- Karlton Kitto. Absorbing the best of these two streams of music, Jeet today is a successful music director in Bollywood, scoring music for films, with the unbeatable combination of melody and new age sounds.
Jeet got his first break when Sanjay Gadhvi was signed on to direct Tere Liye and he, in turn, signed on his friends Jeet and Pritam as music composers. In 2002 Yash Raj Films signed Gadhvi up to direct Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai, for which the Jeet-Pritam duo composed the music.
After the duo parted ways, Jeet has started scoring music for Hindi and Bengali films, TV serials and jingles.

The story revolves around police officer Agnishwar Rai (Mithun Chakraborty), who keeps getting transferred due to his aggressive nature towards criminals. He ends up at Utarpara police where young boy Surja Sinha (Jeet) is the local tough guy. A girl is raped by the younger brother,Ranjit Saha (Bharat Kaul), of the local MLA named Joy Chand Saha (Rajatava Dutta). Agnishwar arrests Ranjit. To take revenge, the MLA gets Agnishwar put in prison and his wife Deboshree Roy murdered. There starts Agnishwar's revenge where he slowly kills all the persons responsible for putting him behind bars and killing his wife, ending with the death of the MLA and himself at the hands of Surja, who became a police officer.

The film begins with the Anti Terrorist Department in the middle of an assignment. A terrorist takes a bus full of people on hostage. Raghuram "Raghu" Rathod (Emraan Hashmi) supported by the brave officer Siya Verma (Amyra Dastur) accomplish the operation. This could have almost killed Raghu who is engaged to Siya. After the operation Siya tells Raghu she cannot handle life's unpredictability and the thought of being away from him. He asks his hand in marriage and the two are betrothed. On the day before their marriage, the two are summoned by ACP Bhardwaaj (Arunoday Singh). There is a plot to kill the chief minister of the state and both are put to duty. hardwaaj mr. X. fashions his involvement in the plot such that Raghu is compelled to murder the CM. If he doesn't kill the CM, then a sniper will murder Siya who is on duty at another location. Left with no choice, Raghu murders the CM upon a confrontation from the latter's son Aditya. He tries to flee but gets cornered by Bhardwaaj and his man Tiwari. The three take Raghu to a run down factory and kill him there.
