Dhivyadharshini is an Indian television anchor and actress from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Initially making her debut as actress, she featured in supporting roles in films including Kamal Haasan's production Nala Damayanthi (2003), before going on to work in television serials, drawing attention for her performances in Raadan Media ventures, Selvi and Arase. Since 2007, she has regularly been a host for shows on Vijay TV and in 2014, began hosting Koffee with DD, her own show.

Biographie

Dhivyadharshini was born to a Tamil father, Neelakandan, and a Malayali mother, Srilatha. Her sister Priyadarshini is also a television host, while her younger brother is an airline pilot. She attended Our Lady's Matriculation Higher Secondary School, and has since has continued part-time education at Anna Adarsh College, Chennai.

She married Srikanth Ravichandran, an assistant director of Gautham Menon, on 29 June 2014. The pair had known each other for six years, and Srikanth had proposed in early 2014.

Ramji Narayanaswami Iyer (Madhavan), a naive and docile Tamil Brahmin (Palakkad Iyer) cook, dreams of marrying off his sister Bhagyam (Divyadarshini) to a good family, as they are orphans and it becomes his sole responsibility. As per convention he has shell out dowry for the marriage and somehow falls short of the agreed sum. Incidentally the groom's family happens to admire the food cooked by Ramji and plan him to send to Melbourne, Australia as a cook for a multi millionaire Australian based Indian family. The film begins with murder of Swetha a college student which is considered as accident. The scene shifts to college. Anjali (Gayathri Raguram) & Jeeva (Vikramaditya Shukla) are college lovebirds. Maya (Sherin) has a crush on Jeeva. They along with their friends spend happy days in college. One day, Vinod is murdered by Naga which is witnessed by Anjali. But no one believes her. Subsequently two other friends are murdered by Naga. In the fear, Anjali reveals the past to Maya that during the school days how the six members ragged a village girl, Sarawathi (Divyadarshini) and she committed suicide of six, four are murdered. She thinks the murders are related to the incidents. In the turn of events, it is shown that Jeeva is the murderer. On the same night, Sharmi is murdered before Anjali by Naga. Later, it is revealed the actual murderer is Maya who is the sister of Sarawathi. Later, Jeeva saves Anjali and Maya is killed. The comedy track of the movie follows the theme of the Hollywood movie What Women Want.
