Siddharth (Farooq Shaikh), Omi (Rakesh Bedi) and Jomo (Ravi Baswani) are close friends and room mates who are studying at Delhi University. Siddharth has completed M.A in Economics and is preparing for PhD. While Siddharth is a studious boy who loves to spend most of his time with books, his other two friends- Omi and Jomo are mostly busy chasing girls, watching movies or dramas. The only thing common among three of them is smoking. One day, Omi and Jomo see a girl (Neha) who is new to their neighborhood and try to impress her by their tricks. However, both of them give up after experiencing shameful events. After some days, Neha (Deepti Naval) visits their flat as the salesgirl of Chamko washing powder. As soon as Jomo and Omi see her, they hide quickly. Siddharth meets Neha for the first time and soon a love story begins. But when his other two friends find out, they decide to plot something to end their relationship and also to seek revenge to the embarrassment inflicted upon them by the girl. Initially, they succeed in separating Siddharth and Neha but later on repent when they realise that Siddharth has started losing his interest in work and study and is most likely to end his life as well. Finally, they decide to reunite both the lovers.
The Stooges are key witnesses at a murder trial. Their friend and colleague, Gail Tempest (Suzanne Kaaren), is a dancer at the Black Bottom cafe where the Stooges are musicians. She is accused of killing Kirk Robin (a play on "Who Killed Cock Robin?").
At the estate of King Herman the 6⅞ (Don Brodie) (a parody of Kaiser Wilhelm II), the deposed king of Moronica, war profiteers Ixnay (Vernon Dent), Amscray (Lynton Brent) and Umpchay (previously Onay) (Bud Jamison) have decided that they have had enough of Moe Hailstone, the fascist dictator they put in power, and want to help Herman retake the throne. To this end, his daughter, the princess Gilda (Mary Ainslee), threatens to try and assassinate Hailstone using an explosive Number 13 pool ball strategically positioned in Hailstone's billiard table. The fictitious country of Moronica (or at least Moe Hailstone) seems to be familiar with a pool game in which the 13 ball is placed at the head of the rack during set up.

Lors de son premier jour d'école, Marin, inquiet, décide de le suivre à l'occasion d'une sortie scolaire. Afin de prouver sa valeur à ses copains, Nemo décide de nager jusqu'à la surface pour toucher un mystérieux bateau. C'est alors qu'il se fait enlever par un plongeur.
The Stooges are private eyes at the Alert Detective Agency who are called upon by the wealthy Mr. Goodrich (Emil Sitka). Goodrich reports that the Phantom Gang, of which his own niece (Christine McIntyre) is a member, has been murdering socialites, with Goodrich as their next target. By the time the Stooges arrive, Goodrich is out cold and locked away, with the butler (Charles Knight) (also a member of the Phantom Gang) greeting the trio. Goodrich's niece flirts with Shemp, ultimately trying to poison him. Finally, a towering goon named Nikko (Duke York) chases the Stooges from room to room. After Shemp knocks Nikko cold, he literally bumps into an unconscious Goodrich, who spills the Phantom Gang's plot. A fight then ensues with the lights out, and the Stooges ultimately get the baddies.
Tiska (Dorothy Appleby), Taska (Mary Ainslee) and Baska (Ethelreda Leopold) Jones, three snippy society girls, are willed a huge inheritance so long as they are married by a certain time and date, but their fiances postpone their engagements. Their shrewd lawyer Diggin (Richard Fiske) suggests they marry three death row inmates (the Stooges) to retain the dough; once they are married, they get their inheritance, the convicts are hanged, and can marry their fiances free and clear. They do so, but the boys are pardoned by the governor, and as the girls celebrate their new bout of widowhood, the Stooges make their way into their house and make themselves at home.
The Stooges are caught sleeping in a closed awning situated over a store. A brief argument among the trio results in Curly casually tossing a pot over his shoulder, breaking several dishes. The shopkeeper (Max Davidson) becomes irate, calls the police and chases the Stooges for vandalizing his store, who quickly dash into a building’s revolving door. Upon exiting the building, the Stooges have clipboards in tow, having inadvertently landed jobs as census takers.
Two museum curators (Bud Jamison, James C. Morton) hire the Stooges (as private detectives) to locate Professor Tuttle of Egyptology, who went missing while attempting to find the mummy of Egyptian King Rootin'Tootin' in Cairo. The Stooges check the basement and help a man take a box onto a truck, not aware that Tuttle is bound and gagged inside. They are then told by the curators to find the tomb and bring back the mummy, for which they will be paid $5000. They hail a taxicab in New York City, and inform the bewildered driver they are bound for Egypt.

Martin et Rudi apprennent le même jour qu'ils sont atteints de maladie incurable. Martin a une tumeur au cerveau, le médecin lui annonce qu'il ne lui reste que quelques jours à vivre. Il se retrouvent dans la même chambre de l'hôpital. Découvrant une bouteille de tequila, ils se rendent à la cuisine pour la boire avec du citron et du sel. À cette occasion, Martin se rend compte que Rudi n'a jamais vu la mer. Ils décident alors d'aller la voir. Soûls, ils descendent au parking et volent une voiture. La voiture appartient à un truand, qui l'a confié à deux de ses employés pour la conduire à son propre chef.
Jeff est un tueur à gages. Lors d'un contrat, il rend accidentellement aveugle une chanteuse de bar, Jennie. Hanté par le remords, il décide d'aider Jennie... et tombe progressivement amoureux d'elle. Alors qu'il décide d'accepter un dernier contrat, dont l'argent doit servir à opérer Jennie, il se fait repérer par l'inspecteur Li. Les commanditaires de Jeff décident alors de se retourner contre lui et tentent de l'assassiner. Coincé entre l'inspecteur Li, flic acharné prêt à tout pour l'arrêter, et son ancien boss, Jeff n'a pas d'autre choix que de reprendre les armes. Alors que les amitiés sont trahies, aucun personnage n'apparaît ni tout blanc ni tout noir.
À Londres, le policier Nicholas Angel est le meilleur de son équipe, aussi à l'aise dans la résolution d'affaires que dans l'action, à tel point qu'il fait passer ses collègues pour de simples gardiens de la paix totalement incompétents. Afin de faire cesser cette comparaison qui désavantage le reste de sa brigade, son chef lui offre une « promotion » dans le petit village de Sandford dans le Gloucestershire, patelin vainqueur depuis plusieurs années du titre de « Village de l’année » où il ne se passe quasiment rien, selon l'association de surveillance du voisinage, gérée par les propriétaires des commerces de la ville. Motivée par cette affectation forcée, la fiancée de Nicholas décide de le quitter en lui reprochant notamment son perfectionnisme et sa dépendance au travail, traits de caractère qui seront, par ailleurs, incompatibles avec la vie apaisée et laxiste de Sandford.
Joe Buck, jeune cow-boy à la gueule d'ange, quitte sa petite ville natale du Texas pour s'établir à New York, où, sûr de son physique, il ambitionne de devenir gigolo. Mais il va très vite déchanter : ne trouvant pas de clientes, Joe, candide et bercé d'illusions, se retrouve à court d'argent. Il croise alors la route de Rico « Ratso » Rizzo, un sans-abri infirme doublé d'un petit escroc. La solitude et la détresse aidant, ces deux paumés deviennent malgré eux compagnons de galère, accrochés à leurs rêves pour continuer d'y croire...
