It also stars Harisree Asokan, Rajan P. Dev, Salim Kumar, Ambika, Cochin Haneefa, Indrans, and Sukumari in other pivotal roles. The film was co-produced by Dileep under the banner of Graand Production.
The story follows Malayali Bhuvana Chandran (Dileep), an unsuccessful entrepreneur in a lot of debt, who gets involved in a land conflict between two powerful landlords in Tamil Nadu: Pandi Durai (Prakash Raj) and Karuppayya Swami (Rajan P. Dev).

Kannan and Dasappan are two rowdies in their village. Shathrugnan. a newcomer, is in love with Dasappan' s sister, Devootty, but she is not interested in him. Shathru joins Kannan's and Dasappan's firm, KD & Company, as the manager, in an attempt to win the love of Devootty. KD & Company keeps as hostage a music troupe who comes to their village to perform. The main singer of that troupe, Sangeetha, gets expelled from her home because of this and Kannan and Dasappan give her refuge, at the insistence of Devootty.

Four friends bought a casino and were celebrating the profit with their family when an underworld don, Gowda (Pradeep Rawat), who used to have a monopoly on the casinos in Goa, intrudes. Xavier (Mohanlal), one of the friends, held out against the don. Although he was killed, he managed to hold off the gang long enough for all of their wives to escape with the children. Nithya (Shobana) is the deputy commissioner of the city who lives with her Valliyachan (Janardhanan) since both her parents were killed in an accident. She was put on to investigate a corruption case done by the Home Minister and his friend a business man called Rajan Phillip (Cochin Haneefa). Unknowingly she was helped in the investigation by a criminal nicknamed Superman (Jayaram). Superman aka Harikrishnan nurtures a vendetta with the home minister and rajan phillip and uses Nithya to trap his enemies. In the whole process Superman uses Judiciary as his weapon, by providing vital evidences to Nithya at times in order to collect evidences Superman himself breaks the law, but as it is for the greater good it is forgiven by Nithya in the end.

Chandappan Gurukkal (Narendra Prasad) and Chathukutty Bhagavathar (Nedumudi Venu) are brothers who are popularly known as Alanchery Thamprakkal. Hailing from feudal family, both enjoy a strong reputation in the village. Both have five sons each, and they share a strong bonding. While Gurukal and sons are experts in Kalaripayattu and other martial arts, Bhagavathar and sons are famous musicians. Meera (Annie), a teenage girl arrives at the village along with Retd.Captain Mukundan Menon (Rajan P. Dev), her grandfather and starts residing at the house of Bhagavathar on rent. She claims to Bhagavathar that she is the daughter of Karthu, his old lover, who was forced to leave the village long back for being pregnant with his daughter. Meera also adds that she is now back to meet her father and would like him to accept as her daughter. After consulting with Gurukkal, he decides to accept her as his daughter. But at the same time another person arrives, claiming himself as Bhagavathar's son. But when beaten severely by Bhagavathar's sons, he spells out the truth that he is a drama actor and has arrived for money. In the meantime, Unni (Dileep), son of Gurukkal falls in love with Meera and both Gurukkal and Bhagavathar decides to get her married to him. While things are moving smoothly, Keshu Varma (Shivaji) arrives at village claiming that Meera is none other than his daughter Lekha Varma, who had escaped from a mental hospital along with Syriac John another patient. Thamprakkal are adamant that they won't let Varma to take Meera away. But Varma warns that he will be back in a week to take her away. On questioning, Meera accepts the truth that she is the daughter of Varma and had escaped from a mental hospital along with Syriac John. Keshu varma is her mother's secon husband, who wanted to kill her to snatch away all the properties. She was forcefully admitted in a mental hospital and was given sedatives. At hospital, she met the mother of Thamprakkal, another patient, who told her the stories of Alanchery and the life of Thamprakkal. After escaping from the hospital, she along with Syriac John had reached Thamprakkal and fabricated the story to save herself from Varma. Thamprakkal decides to protect her. On the next week, upon arriving at the village, Varma and his goons are defeated by Thamprakkal and his sons. Meera is married to Unni and everything ends happily.
