Manasulo Maata (English: The Word in my Heart) is a 1999 Telugu, romance film produced by P. Usharani on Chandra Kiran Films banner, presented by Sri Sravanthi Movies, directed by S. V. Krishna Reddy. Starring Jagapathi Babu, Srikanth, Mahima Chaudhry in the lead roles and music also composed by S. V. Krishna Reddy. The film was remake of Tamil film Kannedhirey Thondrinal (1998). The film recorded as Above Average at box office.
Synopsis
The film talks about two friends Shankar (Jagapathi Babu) and Vasanth (Srikanth) from the same college. They start out as enemies and then become best friends. Vasanth loves Priya (Mahima Chaudhry) without knowing she is Shankar’s sister, which he comes to know later. When Shankar tells Vasanth about his past, that his other sister Radhika (Priya) eloped with one of his best friend Raghu (Sriharsha). On hearing this horrifying news, then Vasanth makes up his mind to sacrifice his love without hurting Shankar and their true friendship. Later Priya tries for a suicide attempt. Through Vasanth’s another friend Guru Murthy (Ali), Shankar comes to know about Vasanth’s love with his sister Priya, and Vasanth’s readiness to sacrifice his love for their friendship. Padmanabham (Jagapati Babu) is a miser who does anything to save money, because When he was a young boy, Padmanabham was driven out of his house along with his parents by an evil-hearted money lender (Tanikella Bharani), who gave him a condition: if by a stipulated time period Padmanabham could raise enough money to buy back the house he could reclaim it as his own. The film center's on a happily married couple,where husband believes money is the only thing important and not family ties, affections and respect for cultural or traditional values or marriage values. He married one nice traditional girl with Hindu moral values by tricking them for money. The husband runs into a wealthy unmarried business woman and teenager. But the greedy husband only interested in money and files for divorce in the court and the consequence's, lead to the frustrated wife, who wishes to invite, her family and friends for their divorce ceremony like a marriage ceremony. Finally husband realizes the importance, sanctity of the marriage and apologizes to the wife and requests her to be his wife again.

Seetha (Aamani) is a possessive wife who suspects that all the women in the world are throwing themselves at her husband, Madhu (Jagapathi Babu). Things get a little interesting only after Sudha (Ranjitha) enters the picture and ends up hugging Madhu right in front of Seetha's eyes. Seetha is diagnosed with a deadly heart condition and decides to have Madhu and Sudha to tie the knot for the sake of a good life for her young son. She even goes as far as getting a divorce from Madhu to make him hate her. In the end, Seetha dies, while giving birth to a female child and Madhu and Sudha get married by naming the baby as Seetha.
