Manal Naharam is a 2015 Tamil language Indian feature film written and produced by M.I.Vasanthkumar and directed by Oru Thalai Ragam Shankar starring Prajin Padmanabhan, Gautham Krishna, Thanishka, Varuna Shetty, Vinod Kumar (VK), Jaise Jose, Jijesh Menon and Shankar himself.
The film, a bi-lingual, has been made in Malayalam language as Sand City has been released on 2nd January, 2015 with positive response, while Manal Naharam was released on February 27th, 2015 with highly positive reviews.
Synopsis
Manal Naharam explores the lives and predicaments experienced by people who go from India to the Arab countries for better dream and fortunes, leaving behind their trusted kith and kin. The story takes place in Dubai. The movie also deals with friendship as well as romance.Acteurs

The film begins with the City Police Commissioner Bharath Chandran (Joju George) jumping over the compound wall of a house who is having an affair with house owner's wife. The house owner confronts commissioner and beats and breaks his arm. It then shifts to a man at a friend's house asking where his friend and a don named Jimmy is, as there is work for him to do for the man. He reveals his work is to transport the pirated DVD of the upcoming releasing movie Hotel California and in which Jimmy has to transport it through the airport safely. It once again shifts to Aby Mathew (Shankar Panikkar) a lusting married middle aged man, who contacts a pimp to have sex with a television actress named Swapna Joseph (Honey Rose) who agrees to have sex with him for a large sum of money. Then Sasi Pillai is shown talking about a hot topic for news reporting about the don named Airport Jimmy. In which it shifts to the scene of Airport Jimmy (Jayasurya) in high class bar.

After a recollection of his childhood memory in which he meets a police officer while being chased by three men, Rockstar Gautham (Mahesh Babu) kills one of the three men (Kelly Dorji) and informs the police. Inspector John Basha (Sayaji Shinde) takes him into custody. A news reporter Sameera (Kriti Sanon) who recorded the incident airs the video and shows that Gautham had imagined killing Dorji.
