Synopsis
The film recounts two days in the lives of five very different characters all born on July 12, that are faced with problems as their birthday approaches. Jim (Benjamin Patrick), a gay, overweight telemarketer working for a weight loss program is facing self-esteem issues, whereas Ron (John Frazier), a church minister who preaches about conversion but himself is addicted to watching gay porn, and Javed (Devashish Saxena), a Pakistani lives in the U.S. with a gay porn actor but is faced by the double dilemma of being condemned by his Muslim family and is in imminent danger of being deported from the States.Commentaires

Magnus (Jussie Smollett), an affluent young medical student, is happily in a five-month relationship with his boyfriend, Ryan (Dustin Ross). Ryan gives Magnus the weekend alone to enjoy his time with his friends, and Magnus reveals to them that he and Ryan have agreed on a six-month abstinence pledge so they can appreciate one another more deeply than the physical level. Magnus takes them all to see the former home of Langston Hughes in Harlem, and the group reflects on their cultural history, while Magnus and Sebastian recite lines from Hughes's poetry.

Ben reste alors très allusif et lui fait croire que son rôle se limitera à celui d’un assistant parmi les figurants.

Investigating the attack is Deputy Derek, who questions Kenny's friends, all of whom have reasonable alibis. Derek then has sex with Ricky, and afterward Ricky mentions that Kenny had recently dumped Stuart.
