The film features actors Jeet and Subhasree Ganguly in the lead roles. Music of the film has been composed by Jeet Ganguly.The film is a remake of the 2012 Tamil film Thuppakki starring Vijay and Kajal Aggarwal in the Lead roles. It is also remade in Hindi named Holiday.
Synopsis
Abhimanyu Chatterjee (Jeet), a Captain in the Indian Army, returns to Kolkata from Kashmir. On his arrival, his parents and younger sisters force him to see Trisha (Subhashree Ganguly), who they choose for him to be married to. At the bride-viewing ceremony, Abhimanyu makes up excuses to avoid marrying her, which includes commenting about her being old-fashioned. On the contrary, Trisha is a college-level boxer, who is completely modern in her outlook. Abhimanyu realises this and proposes to her, which she reciprocates.Acteurs

At a time when Mumbai Police headed by Police Commissioner (Chiranjeet) announce that the much dreaded Mafia Raj is completely wiped out in the city and there are no under world Bhai's in Mumbai, a rookie named Surya (Jeet) lands in the country’s commercial capital with an intention to become a Mafia Don. His friend (Biswanath Basu) receives him and brings him to Dharavi. He offers him shelter and tells him that he would soon fetch him a job so that he can settle down in life. But Surya wants to carve an identity for himself, by reorganizing Mumbai's Mafia Raj and eventually rule Mumbai. He then mocks as a cop and gets his first bounty and then he forms a gang of his own. Surya meets up with a local politician Gopi (Supriyo Dutta) who is in trouble and offers him help. Surya begins recruiting criminals and gangsters in Mumbai and starts to Extort people for money. He slowly gains momentum and in the process becomes popular and feared among the people.

Dibakar Singha (Jeet) is a police sub-inspector from Hridaypur, a small fictional town in the Birbhum district of Bengal. He is loved and respected by the entire town. Arjun Sarkar (Supriyo Dutta) deals in real estate as a cover, but is in fact a kidnapper and extortionist from Howrah who terrorizes the citizens and has the police on his payroll. Once Dibakar learns of Arjun's actions, he goes after him and kills Arjun's men one by one, including Arjun's younger brother.

The film is about Surya Narayan (Jeet) who was once a software engineer but quits his job to give it to his friend and is unemployed in the city of Cooch Behar. Poulomi (Sayantika Banerjee) is a girl from Kolkata who studies in college and comes to Cooch Behar for her vacation to stay with her elder brother Madan Mohan (Kharaj Mukherjee) and his wife. Surya falls in love with Poulomi at first sight and starts chasing her to win her heart and enters the upper portion of their house as tenants with his brother, Upendra Narayan (Biswajit Chakraborty) and sister in law (Tulika Basu). In this process Surya will have clash with local rowdy Shanatan Panja (Tamal Roychowdhury). Mistaking him to be one tapori, Poulomi hates him first but later on she realizes his true nature . She returns to Kolkata and lives with her older brother (Ashish Vidyarthi), a former builder and now a very powerful rowdy who is very possessive and protective about his sister. Surya follows Poulomi to Kolkata and works his way into their house with the help of Madan Mohan and finally both of them confess their love. There, Surya knows the flashback of Poulomi and how she is being chased by the notorious and cruel Tony Bharadwaj (Mukul Dev) assisted by his uncle (Supriyo Dutta) for marriage. Surya fights Tony, Poulomi's older brother kills Tony, and Surya marries Poulomi.

The film starts with a flashback. ACP Bose (Ferdous) is a sincere police officer happily married and lives with his parents and younger brother Surya (Jeet). In this story Krish (played by Dev) is the hero and Bhoomi (played by Subhashree Ganguly) is the leading heroine. Krish is the son of a rich man. Krish (has love interest in Megha (Nusrat Jahan). Megha also loves Krish a.k.a. Krishna. Their relationship goes fine until Megha meets Bhoomi (Subhashree Ganguly) and they become best friends. Bhoomi tells her best friend Megha about his rowdy and tough cousin who her family wants her to get married to but she does not want to marry. Megha gets worried about her friend and tells the problem to her boyfriend, Krish. Megha makes Bhoomi meet Krish and tells Krish to act as if Krish is Bhoomi's boyfriend and let Bhoomi's family know that Bhoomi is in a relationship with Krish. Krish does not agree at first but later agrees to help out Bhoomi. In the meantime, Bhoomi fall in love with Krish in reality. Krish also gets close to Bhoomi. Later, one day Krish gets to know that Megha and Bhoomi's fathers are step-brothers and they have a family rivalry between them from ages. Krish meets the two brother's father (Haradhan Bandopadhyay) and gets to know why they have the rivalry and also gets to know that grandfather wants them to be together again. The grandfather gives the responsibility to Krish to get the two families together again and if he is successful he will get Megha or Bhoomi- whoever he is in love with hand in marriage. Krish falls in a big problem as he is not interested in all this family rivalry. But later he decides to get the family together. In the meantime, Megha gets the wrong idea that Krish and Bhoomi is cheating her and Krish is in love with Bhoomi and not her. Due to the untimely death of Late Shri Haradhan Bandopadhay,the climax of the movie was changed which made it different from the original story of Brindavanam where Krish marries Bhoomi as Meera explained.

It is a romantic-drama/comedy film. Subhashree portrays an N.R.I girl living in London whose father (portrayed by Biswajit Chakraborty) wants her to get married with an Indian lad. However, Subhasree's character is deeply involved in a yet-platonic relationship with a half-Brit boy Harry. Subhasree's brother (played by Tota Roy Choudhury) is involved in a relationship with a British girl and wants to marry her. This is where they meet Dev, a quintessential charming Bengali lad who falls head-on in love with Subhasree and their marriage is invariably finalized since Dev's father is an old friend of Subhasree's Dad as well. However, although Subhasree evidently likes Dev, she hatches a plan to delay and finally, annul the engagement by implementing her brother's plan of bringing Dev to London and 'breaking up' with him abroad. Poran Jai Jolia Re is the story of how Dev manages to win his love over all adversities in a foreign land.
