Synopsis
Trois amis décident de se rendre à Oppikopi, le plus grand festival de rock sud-africain et de conquérir le public par leur passion pour le stand up. David veut devenir un comédien célèbre et malgré les remarques de ses proches qui lui conseillent plutôt de trouver une vocation plus conventionnelle, décide de poursuivre son rêve. Kags, plus expérimenté dans le métier et plus terre à terre, est en quelque sorte le mentor de David. D’autant plus qu’il sort avec celle qui fait rêver tous les hommes, la belle Kim, avec qui il a du mal à s’engager pleinement. Quant à Joey, il vit un dilemme difficile entre la comédie et sa religion qui semblent peu compatibles. Sa jalouse et grincheuse petite amie, Angela ne lui facilite pas la vie. Les trois amis sont rejoints par Cope, un auto-stoppeur au comportement bizarre, qui va s’avérer être très gênant. Ainsi débute leur road trip, mais très vite leur plan va prendre une tout autre direction.Acteurs

Professor Parimal Tripathi (Dharmendra) is a botany professor who falls in love with Sulekha Chaturvedi (Sharmila Tagore) during a women's college botany excursion. Prof. Parimal Tripathi helps the bungalow watchman to get to his village downhill to enable him to see his grandson who's fallen ill. Meanwhile he disguises himself as the bungalow watchman to protect the old man's job. Sulekha finds out one day about the cover-up and is charmed on seeing Parimal's real personality. They both get married. Parimal loves playing pranks and is the antithesis of regular professors. Sulekha, on the other hand is in awe of her jijaji (brother-in-law) Raghavendra (Om Prakash). She considers her jijaji to be highly intellectual and looks upon him as her idol. Parimal develops an inferiority complex thanks to Sulekha's excessive praise of her jijaji and decides to prove that he is in no way a lesser mortal. Jijaji, meanwhile, has written a letter to Haripad bhaiyya (David Abraham Cheulkar) asking him to send a driver who can speak good Hindi because his present driver James D'costa (Keshto Mukherjee) uses improper grammar. This provides the perfect opportunity for Parimal to get to see and interact with jijaji. Parimal becomes Pyaremohan Ilahabadi, a motor-mouth driver who pretends to hate the English language and so speaks only Hindi. So begins the comedy of errors, as Parimal and Sulekha play prank after prank on the unsuspecting jijaji.

Chhoti Si Baat is a romantic comedy about a painfully shy young man Arun Pradeep (Amol Palekar), who lacks self-confidence and fails to stand up for his convictions, in the process letting all and sundry walk all over him. One fine day he comes across Prabha Narayan (Vidya Sinha) at the bus stop en route to work and it's love at first sight... for Arun that is. Lacking enough courage and unsure if his feelings are reciprocated, he pines for her from afar and follows her around, at a safe distance (or so he thinks). Prabha, fully aware of his affections, secretly relishes his discomfort, while waiting for him to make the first move.

Anselme et Victor, deux vieux, cohabitent tant bien que mal. Victor, acariâtre, soupe au lait, a perdu sa femme depuis 8 ans. Il ne manque pas une occasion d'humilier Anselme. Rejoints par Anna, qui se dit cantatrice, ils préparent la fête de la musique, sous la direction d'un Victor tyrannique et méprisant qui vexera Anna, au bord des larmes. Anselme ronge son frein .Il se venge en précédant Victor sur la tombe de Louise. Il y écrit un texte signé S qui laisse supposer que Louise avait un amant. Victor venu se recueillir juste après au cimetière est bouleversé. Il veut retrouver le mystérieux corbeau qui signe S, et qu'il croit avoir été l'amant de sa femme. Il est sûr que c'est Anselme, mais celui-ci le convainc du contraire, et se montrera plein de compassion pour Victor. Tout en multipliant dans son dos mots et lettres anonymes signés S. Anselme ira jusqu'à acheter un canari jaune, le tuer et le poser sur le rebord de la fenêtre. Victor y verra probablement le présage du cocu anéanti.

Adhering to its title 'Cinema Paithiyam', the movie depicts and traces the life and transformation of Jaya (Jayachitra) from the reel world to the real world. Stucker, Minor and Pataki are cast as a gay fashion designer, a horny soul brother (catchphrase - "this is the best lookin' piece I've seen in a long time!") and an incompetent impressionist, respectively. The three escape their mental asylum and sexually assault their way into a girls' school. Their broad, knockabout performances attempt to keep the film's (fairly objectionable) content amusing rather than disturbing. The entire female cast comprises softcore porn models (mostly drawn from men's magazines of the era) who don skimpy karate costumes and violently turn the tables on their tormentors.
