The features Mohanlal in Supporting role with Shankar in lead role and Geetha and Urvashi pivote role. The film, features memorable music soundtrack composed by Raveendran to the lyrics penned by O. N. V. Kurup and cinematography by S. Kumar.
Editing of the film was done by K. P. Puthran while the assistant directors to the film were Ajayan and G. S. Vijayan with Art direction by Krishnan Kutty.
Synopsis
Sukhamo Devi is the story of Nandan and Thara getting married as their personal love affairs failed. Nandan was in love with Devi, but circumstances force Devi to choose another person. Thara was in love with Sunny, but he is killed in an accident. The film also shows the good side of friendship between Sunny and Vinod, who survives the accident, but living a mechanical life.Acteurs

The plot revolves around the early days of the Communist Party in Kerala. Three Comrades, Nettoor Stephen (Mohanlal), T.K. Antony (Murali) and Sethulakshmi (Geetha) work tirelessly to empower the daily wage laborers and other proletarians of their village, to end the reign of feudal landlords, in the days when Communism was illegal to practice. Sethu and Antony are in love with each other, as are Nettooran and Annamma (Annakkutty), the daughter of Medayil Ittichan, the landlord whose press Nettooran runs, as his day job.

Harikrishnan (Mohanlal), an immigrant in Mumbai, who like many thousands of immigrants is busy struggling to make ends meet. He shares a room with a group of Malayali guys, who too have their own personal problems and difficulties. The film begins with Harikrishnan witnessing the murder of a journalist, and is wanted by police to appear at an identification parade, which he does. Hari and his friends stay at a room in Kamathipura, which also homes the largest red lighted area in India. He accidentally meets Kiran (Geetha), a Telugu girl in the brothel, for whom he develops a soft feeling. In a short attempt to make money, Hari and friends starts making local hooch, which is supplied by Manikandan (Jagadish), their friend, who is also a taxi driver. Shekhar (Shankar), one among the guys falls in love with the sister of Mani, without the knowledge of anyone else.

The story is a family drama and the conflict between two brothers who share the legacy of Ezhuthupura, a newspaper company owned by family.
