Worldwide Pants Inc. was an American television and film production company founded and owned by comedian and former talk show host David Letterman.

The company was formerly headquartered at the Ed Sullivan Theater building in New York City, but has since moved to Los Angeles following the ending of the Late Show with David Letterman. The President and CEO is former Late Show executive producer Rob Burnett. Peter Lassally, a former The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson and Late Show executive producer, was the senior vice-president until his retirement.

Trevor est un adolescent atteint de Myopathie de Duchenne, cynique et particulièrement déprimé. Sa mère, Elsa, fait appel à un certain Ben pour l'aider. Ben et Trevor se lient d'amitié et s'engagent dans un voyage à travers les États-Unis. Sur le chemin ils rencontrent Dot, une adolescente rebelle et tout aussi cinglante. Ensemble ils visitent les pires attractions du pays et partent à la recherche du père de Trevor qui l'a abandonné quand il avait trois ans.

Jerri Blank (Amy Sedaris), a 46-year-old former high school dropout and self-described "junkie whore", is released from prison and returns to her childhood home. She discovers her mother has died, her father, Guy (Dan Hedaya), has remarried to the hateful Sara Blank (Deborah Rush), and she has an arrogant half-brother Derrick (Joseph Cross). To make matters worse, her father is in a "stress-induced coma". Taking the suggestion of the family doctor (Ian Holm) literally, Jerri decides to pick her life back up where she left it, beginning her high school all over again as a freshman at Flatpoint High.
