Abbas (born 21 May 1975 as Mirza Abbas Ali) is an Indian film actor and model who has appeared in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi and Kannada language films. After making his debut with Kadhir's Kadhal Desam (1996), Abbas enjoyed success as the second lead actor in films through the early 2000s.

Après avoir terminé ses études, Padayappa revient dans sa famille. Il retrouve son père (Sivaji Ganesan), le très respecté zamindar du village. La riche et arrogante Nilambari tombe éperdument amoureuse de Padayappa, mais il lui préfère sa jolie servante Vasanthira. Se sentant insultée, elle lui voue une haine éternelle et jure sa perte. Dans le même temps, Sivaji Ganesan meurt et, suite à un complot, Padayappa et sa mère sont expulsés de la maison familiale.
