In 1956, No. 433 "Porcupine" RCAF Squadron flies the Avro Canada CF-100 Canuck all-weather interceptor aircraft. The squadron is based at CFB North Bay, Ontario, and is responsible for an area that includes the immediate region and the Arctic. On a deployment to CFB Cold Lake, Alberta, where training for RCAF operational units takes place, experienced flight crews and newcomers in the squadron learn how to be more effective as a team. The work of the ground control and radar units that support the squadron are highlighted in a combat readiness exercise.

In 1954, the RCAF issues specifications for a new maritime patrol and anti-submarine aircraft. In order to comply with the RCAF's requirements, the Canadair aircraft company in Montreal, begins a re-design of the Bristol Britannia airliner. A prototype of the giant aircraft begins to take shape alongside the other aircraft in production at the Canadair factory. As each individual component is designed and tested, the aircraft given the company designation, CL-28, proves to be a complex technological challenge. Many of the specialized parts are sent to sub-contractors who have to meet stringent timelines and quality standards. As problems arise, computer analysis is available to provide solutions.

Summer of the Monkeys is set at the end of the nineteenth century. Its hero is a 14-year-old boy, Jay Berry Lee, who had enjoyed an idyllic childhood. Born to Missouri sharecroppers, he moves with his family to Oklahoma after his grandfather offers them free land. Daisy, his twin, has a crippled leg, and her family devotes much effort to gaining enough money to pay for reconstructive surgery. One day, while looking for the family's lost milk cow, Jay Berry discovers monkeys in a nearby river bottom. Visiting his grandfather's store, he learns that the monkeys have escaped from a travelling circus, which has offered a vast reward for their capture: $100 for the chief monkey, "Jimbo", and $2 per monkey for the others. Jay Berry makes multiple attempts to capture the monkeys using traps and a net borrowed from his grandfather, but he gains only scratches and bites from the hostile Jimbo and his minions.

A struggling musician in Toronto, Jude Garland, 33, has developed feelings for a beautiful young woman whom he has never met, but only observed via the Internet. Disheartened, Jude is encouraged to track her down by his friend Victoria Fleming, a sly documentary filmmaker whose ulterior motives are only gradually revealed as the film progresses. His quest eventually takes him to Montreal where his friend Billy (who also has ulterior motives) introduces him to Raymonde, Jacklyn and Bertie, three musicians (who also have ulterior motives) with whom he will have three conversations about romantic love. Although clues abound that the beautiful young woman from the Internet is within his reach, Jude's frustration mounts as he discovers that his reality is anything but what it seems.

It also features interviews with Concordia's Hillel president Yoni Petel and Concordia rector Frederick Lowy, and concludes with a discussion of what it sees as the growing trend of anti-Israel activities on North American campuses.

The Solar Hero documentary follows Team Alberta as they compete in the Solar Decathlon. All the way from the inception of the project, back in 2007, through to Washington, DC in October 2009. A summary is given relating the general progress of the team, their next few steps, and any possible foreseeable obstacles along the way. Interviews have been conducted with team members to capture personal opinions of the project, its current status, and feelings about one’s own team and the other competitors. Animated footage would provide information on the general status of each team in relation to the others, as well as provide practical environmental information for around the house and the workplace. Solar Hero is a window on the best young minds in Alberta working brilliantly to create new avenues in solar living.
