Nobita Nobi, un garçon japonais de 10 ans, est un enfant assez feignant, très maladroit et surtout extrêmement malchanceux, il accumule les mauvais résultats scolaires aussi bien dans les matières principales qu'en éducation physique et entretien des relations fragiles avec ses amis… Cependant, une nuit, Doraemon, un mystérieux robot en forme de chat bleu débarque dans sa chambre accompagné d'un autre enfant qui n'est autre que l'arrière-petit-fils de Nobita. Ils viennent tous les deux du XXII siècle où les descendants de Nobita doivent encore payer les dettes qu'il a accumulées par incompétence. La mission de Doraemon est d'aider Nobita à éviter un futur effroyable parsemé d'échecs et de gaffes ainsi qu'un mariage regrettable. Pour faciliter la tâche, Doraemon a emmené avec lui une panoplie de gadgets futuristes rangés dans sa poche à quatre dimensions que Nobita pourra utiliser en cas de force majeure.

Il y a seize ans, le village caché de Konoha a été attaquée par Kyûbi qui a été relâché par un homme mystérieux, l'homme masqué. Nobita and his dad buy a big rhinoceros beetle, which he promises to his dad to take good care of it. Later, Doraemon's group finds a strange island where a tribe co-exists with prehistoric creatures long believed to extinct yet preserved by a mythical beetle spirit named Golden Hercules. The movie's plot involves Nobita, who throws a temper tantrum because he wants a really large RC toy robot in order to upstage the rich kid, Suneo, who has been showing off the new robot that his cousin made. His fit makes Doraemon angry and he uses his Anywhere Door to get anyway from the summer heat cool off at the North Pole. Sometime later, Nobita follows and a discovers a strange bowling ball-like orb which starts blinking with a pulsating light, and summons what looks like a giant robot´s foot. After Nobita uses the foot to sled down, crashing into his room through the Anywhere Door, the bowling ball follows him home through the door and another robot piece falls into his backyard. A frozen Doraemon follows soon after, covered in ice before being thawed out and with a cold. Learning of the robot parts, Doraemon admits to Nobita that he has nothing to do with it as the two use the Opposite World Entrance Oil and the Roll-Up Fishing Hole to enter the World Inside the Mirror, an alternate mirror world without people. There, they built the robot which Nobita christens the name "Zanda Claus" as he believed the sphere summoning the parts is from Santa Claus.

Suneo shows everyone a fossilized claw of a Tyrannosaurus rex and Nobita is angry that he doesn't get a look. Nobita claims that he will be able to find a living dinosaur. Panicking, Nobita researches on dinosaurs and starts digging in a hill. But then, a landlord shouts at him and makes him dig a hole in the ground to dispose of some egg shells. Nobita unearths a rock shaped like an egg. Using the time-wrap, he returns the rock into its former form and plans to hatch the egg. He spends a day and night wrapped tightly in a blanket with it on his futon, despite it being the peak of summer. A "Futabasaurus" comes out, and Nobita decides to name the plesiosaur Piisuke. Suneo and Gian come looking for Nobita but because Piisuke is still too small, Nobita doesn't show them the plesiosaur and instead makes a deal with them. If he cannot show them a real dinosaur, he would have to eat spaghetti through his nose. Meanwhile, Nobita and Piisuke form a strong bond between them with Nobita working very hard to make sure the baby plesiosaur is well looked after, feeding it his own dinner of sashimi and playing with it. He grows very attached to Piisuke.

Dans cette histoire qui précède Street Fighter Alpha. Quelques années plus tard, Ryu vient rendre hommage à son maître Gouken qui lui aussi a été tué sous ses yeux, par Gouki. Ryu se fait alors héberger par un ji-san (vieillard), se prétendant moine, et qui après l’avoir vaincu, décide de prendre en charge son entraînement. C’est alors qu’arrive Sakura qui après un long voyage à pied vient défier Ryu qu’elle considère non pas comme un vulgaire Street Fighter mais comme un Shin Kakuto. Durant ce combat Ryu comprend qu’il doit combattre Gouki non pas pour la vengeance, mais pour suivre sa voie de combattant. Enfin par une matinée pluvieuse, Ken qui arrive de Tokyo se fait maîtriser par le vieillard qui ne veut pas qu’il interfère dans le combat entre Ryu et Gouki ; combat durant lequel Ryu devra choisir sa voie.

L'histoire commence peu de temps avant la mort d'Inu-No-Taishô, le père de Sesshomaru et d'InuYasha. After watching a televised showing about supposedly humanoid birds spotted in Africa, Nobita dreams of being able to fly with wings. He builds wooden wings after Doraemon refuses to help him, though he repeatedly fails to fly using them. While helping Shizuka to reclaim her pet canary, they witness a portal opens in the sky and a humanoid bird riding an airplane coming out. He introduces himself as Gusuke, a humanoid bird who lives in "Birdopia". Doraemon, Nobita, and Shizuka help Gusuke fix his airplane, where Nobita becomes fast friends with him. As Gusuke departs to his home, Gian and Suneo catch him and grab his plane. The other three follow them through the portal.
