Biographie
After her move away from Tamil language films, Vijayalakshmi settled in Bangalore, where she had earlier pursued her studies. In 2006, it was reported that Vijayalakshmi attempted suicide by overdosing sleeping pills after being harassed by an assistant director who wanted to marry her. The decision came at the end of a difficult year for her in which her father also had died, but she was saved and recovered thereafter. However, in November 2006, she announced her engagement to actor Srujan Lokesh, with the wedding pencilled in for March 2007, after three years of dating. Azhagiri (Narain) and his sister Shanmughapriya (Meena) are siblings who live only for each other. Azhagiri is a student and his sister is a lecturer. Santhanam and co forms his more than one sidekicks and M. S. Baskar is their professor who invariable falls quarry to Santhanam’s unwitting jokes and intentional pranks. Azhagiri goes to Thambikkotai on an NSS field trip. There he falls in love with Kanaga (Poonam Bajwa) who is the daughter of the Amirthalingam (Rajendran), a rich-don of the village. Amirthalingam tries to kill government officers who want to repair a damaged bridge that connects the village with the outside world. The village has a connection to Azhagiri, his sister and their dead father, Shanmugam (Prabhu, which then forms an awesome climax).

Bhaskaran (Arya) is a happy-go-lucky youth who is yet to complete his B. A. Degree, writing arrear examinations for years. His only friend is Nallathambi (Santhanam) who owns a Hair saloon named Thala-Thalapathi Saloon (named after the titles of actors Ajith and Vijay) which he received as dowry for marrying a woman who was two months pregnant. Krishna (Jayam Ravi) is a happy-go-lucky youth who excels in every field, but always does strange and dangerous things to obtain a certain "kick"- a thrill or excitement that he craves. One such activity is secretly double-crossing his childhood friend Dass (Sathyan) while helping him elope. At this point, he meets Nisha (Tamannaah) who is shocked at his recklessness and writes him off as crazy. Krishna, however, sets his sights on Nisha and woos her in a very unorthodox way; he begs her not to fall in love with him. After a host of comical situations involving Krishna's caring but easy-going parents (Prabhu and Suhasini), local thugs (John Vijay and Mayilsamy), and an ever-present comic relief named Jackson (Vadivelu), Nisha accepts Krishna's love. However she sets a condition; Krishna must stay in a well-paying job- he had resigned from other jobs due to lack of "kick"- and only then will she agree to marry him. Krishna accepts, but soon resigns again for the same reason and tries to hide it from Nisha. When she finds out, Nisha breaks up with him and leaves him for good.
