Tuvia Tzafir (Hebrew: טוביה צפיר; born December 31, 1945) is an Israeli actor and entertainer.
In the 1970s Tzafir participated in the successful satire show Nikui Rosh, in which he began performing different imitations of Israeli politicians (such as Yitzhak Rabin, Menachem Begin, etc.). In the 1980s Tzafir appeared many times as a recurring guest on the Israeli entertainment show Siba LeMesiba (סיבה למסיבה) in which he performed many different imitations of Israeli politicians and participated in a variety of comedy skits. In addition, during that period of time he also participated as a guest star in several episodes of the Israeli sitcom Krovim Krovim. In the 1990s Tzafir provided numerous voices for the Israeli satirical puppet show "Chartzufim". In 2004 Tzafir appeared as a guest star in the Israeli daily comical musical drama series "HaShir Shelanu". In 2005 Tzafir appeared as a guest star in the series "Telenovela Ba'am".
Tzafir also starred in several entertainment stage shows, most of which were written by the satirist Ephraim Sidon.
During the 1970s and 1980s Tzafir participated in many Israeli films, among them Salomonico (1972), Charlie Ve'hetzi (1974), Hagiga B'Snuker (1975), Giv'at Halfon Eina Ona (1976), "Eizeh Yofi Shel Tzarot!" (1976), "Ha-Lahaka" (1979), "Nisuin Nusah Tel Aviv" (1979) and "Ha-Instalator" (1986).
During the 1990s Tzafir also participated in dubbing the genie in the Hebrew version of the animated film Aladdin and its two sequels. In 1999, he played the titular character of the straight to video fairy tale crossover, Pim Pam Po.
Since the 2000s Tzafir mainly participates in Israeli children stage shows and children video stories on DVD and video.
In 2008 Tzafir participated in the Israeli drama series Danny Hollywood alongside Gila Almagor.

Biographie
Tzafir was born in Tel Aviv and was initially named Tuvia Kozlowski. Tzafir grew up in a traditionalist home of Jewish immigrants from Poland who lived in the Florentin neighborhood in the southern part of Tel Aviv. During the early sixties Tzafir got his big breakthrough when he served in the Nahal military band. Since then Tzafir has become one of the biggest Israeli TV, cinema and stage stars. The film takes place in 1968. An army entertainment troupe (based on the Nahal troupe), perform comedy and singing acts to the Israeli soldiers in combat zones to boost morale. At the beginning of the film, three departing members of the troupe perform an old Broadway-style song. The next day, auditions, led by the director Paul Aviv (Tuvia Tzafir) are held for the three new members. The three chosen members are the forward Giora Datner (Gidi Gov), the nerdy Jerry Lewis-type Bazooka (Meir Suissa), and the beautifully talented Noa (Dafana Armoni). As part of the welcome wagon, the veteran members give the new recruits the silent treatment by playing practical jokes on them.

Staff Sgt. Raphael "Gingy" Moked is ordered by his company commander, Captain Shamgar, to retrieve Sergio Constanza, a deserter from reserve service. On his way he meets his girlfriend Yaeli and offers to talk to her father, Victor Hasson, to get a blessing for their relationship. Hasson gives his blessing, believing that Moked came for his older daughter Shifra, but throws him out of the house after finding out this was not so. Yaeli does not wish to part from Moked, and sneaks into a suitcase in his jeep. Meanwhile, Constanza tricks several other gamblers into losing thousands of dollars, which he intends to use to repay his debt to Mr. Hasson. The gamblers find out about the plot however, which leaves Sergio with no choice but to run away to the army with Moked.

The story is about two twin brothers, Azriel and Gavriel (both played by Yehuda Barkan). Azriel is a shy and religious Jew who works in a fruit shop in Jaffa. Gavriel, is a hoodlum and a good-for-nothing hustler who runs a Snooker Bar. Gavriel and his friend Hanuka make easy money by swindling innocent people into gambling on Snooker games. One day Gavriel is forced to renew contact with his brother, because he is in trouble with a gangster who won the bet on a snooker game, and the only way to pay is by selling the family estate which is co-owned by Gavriel and his brother Azriel.
