Somy Ali (Urdu: سومی علی‎; born 25 March 1976) is a former Pakistani actress of the early 1990s. She has her own clothing line, So-Me Designs apart from running a non-profit organisation, No More Tears.

Bhagat Singh (Aditya Pancholi), a middle-class respectable police inspector, is assigned to investigate the death of a gangster named Moosa (Ishrat Ali). He has to come to terms with the murder of his daughter and soon finds the culprit of both is a notorious gangster named Gawda (Charan Raj). Inspector Singh arrests Gawda and his son only to find they have soon been released by court order. Gawda plots to kill Singh and has him killed. The brothers Ajit Singh known as "Fauji" (Dharmendra), and Jai Singh (Jay Mehta) investigate, to find that the corrupt police are responsible themselves and are involved in running a mafia that has grown more powerful than the government itself.

Wealthy Suraj lives in a palatial house with his mom, Anjali, and dad. When the time comes for his marriage, his parents find a suitable match for him, but he instead marries a woman from a poor family, antagonizing his parents, who ask him to make a choice between his wife and them. Suraj chooses to stay with his wife, and moves out. Years later, Suraj's dad passes away, leaving his wife alone to look after the business and the vast estate, and making her promise that she will never welcome Suraj, his wife, nor any of their children in this house. Suraj and is wife tragically pass away due to an accident, leaving behind a son named Raja. One day Anjali receives a telegram informing her of Raja coming to settle down with her. She instructs her employees not to let Raja inside the house, so Raja pitches a tent on her lawn and lives there, hoping one day to win her over and be invited in the house. He does succeed, and Anjali does welcome him with open arms. Since he is of marriageable age, she would like him to marry a beautiful young woman by the name of Sonu Rai, the daughter of wealthy Sampat Rai. But Raja is in love with Chhaya, a servant in their household, which is quite unacceptable to Anjali. Over at Chhaya's house, her brother, Shankar, opposes her marriage with Raja, and would like her to marry Maniram. Looks like history is all set to repeat itself as both Chhaya and Raja have sworn to marry each other and no one else.

Kali (Makrand Deshpande) is a local ruffian who harasses students in his college. The principal Satyaprakash (Alok Nath) is helpless to stop him because Kali is the son of Dabala (played by Paresh Rawal) who is one of the biggest gangsters in town. The story revolves around a train journey in Howrah-Bombay Mail. Three Bollywood-stricken, Nagpur-based slackers, Vijay Verma, Bingo Nagpurkar, and Khoka Ganguli, board the Howrah-Bombay Mail, to head to Bombay to watch a cricket match, and to meet Bollywood megastar Mithun Chakraborty. During this trip, they drink a lot of alcohol. Vijay notices that the people in the next room in his train coach, are a couple with an attractive young woman. He goes over to introduce himself, and finds that the man calls himself Mr. C.K. Kadam, and the young woman's name is Manjula. Vijay wants to change his seat, so that he can near Manjula, but unfortunately that seat is taken up by a young man, Pankaj Nigam. Vijay attempts to forcibly take the seat from Pankay, and a fight ensues, and Vijay is asked to leave them alone. During a stopover, Pankaj leaves the train, and when the train starts, Mr. Kadam finds that Manjula has been killed. The police begin their investigation, and they have two suspects namely, Pankaj Nigam, and Vijay Verma. They also find out that Pankaj is not who he claims to be, and that his real name is Sanjay Chopra. Further investigations prove that neither Vijay nor Pankaj could have possibly murdered Manjula, leaving the police, Vijay and his friends on one hand, and Sanjay Chopra, to hunt for the third suspect, the one who actually killed Manjula, and the one who may also kill anyone who stands in his/her way.

Mithun is an honest police officer of the department and he is in love with Somy Ali. Even though he is a strict person to the outside world, he is lenient with his younger brother Saif at home. Saif Ali Khan, a "happy go lucky" guy falls in love with Shweta. Meantime, a group of five criminals (Prem Chopra, Gulshan Grover,Punit Issar, Amrit Pal and Sheila) plots a bank robbery and Saif is implicated in the robbery putting him on the run from the police. Officially Mithun is assigned the task of arresting Saif at any cost and he makes all efforts to nab Saif, but fails. Another important character is a governor, husband of Sheila. The situation become even worse when the members of the group are killed one by one. Mithun is now determined to catch Saif dead or alive. Meanwhile, Mithun also reveals that his girlfriend Somy Ali is a bar dancer who works in the bar owned by the same criminals. On the other hand, Saif also tries to collect evidence to prove his innocence to his brother, but gets in a bigger problem as Somy Ali sees him coming out of the house of the criminal who was killed.
