Vasudha élève seule son fils et ne recule devant aucun sacrifice pour que l’enfant ait tout ce qui lui a toujours fait défaut, à elle. À cause de son passé tragique, la jeune femme vit avec cette idée que le pire pourrait à tout moment arriver. Aarav, lui, construit des palaces. Il en construit partout et c’est ainsi qu’il a fini par se faire une fortune colossale. Mais, son cœur n’y est pas ; il vit d’un jour à l’autre comme une automate, ne s’intéressant à rien. Pourtant, lorsque les deux se rencontrent, il se produit comme une petite étincelle, chacun des deux trouvant en l’autre son âme sœur. Et, cette sympathie mutuelle a vite fait de se transformer en amour. Vasudha et Aarav commencent à entrevoir un futur commun malgré le regard pesant de la société.

The film begins with the Anti Terrorist Department in the middle of an assignment. A terrorist takes a bus full of people on hostage. Raghuram "Raghu" Rathod (Emraan Hashmi) supported by the brave officer Siya Verma (Amyra Dastur) accomplish the operation. This could have almost killed Raghu who is engaged to Siya. After the operation Siya tells Raghu she cannot handle life's unpredictability and the thought of being away from him. He asks his hand in marriage and the two are betrothed. On the day before their marriage, the two are summoned by ACP Bhardwaaj (Arunoday Singh). There is a plot to kill the chief minister of the state and both are put to duty. hardwaaj mr. X. fashions his involvement in the plot such that Raghu is compelled to murder the CM. If he doesn't kill the CM, then a sniper will murder Siya who is on duty at another location. Left with no choice, Raghu murders the CM upon a confrontation from the latter's son Aditya. He tries to flee but gets cornered by Bhardwaaj and his man Tiwari. The three take Raghu to a run down factory and kill him there.

Sonu's world is shaken to the core when he realises, after his marriage to Jhanvi, that Jhanvi's estranged father, Mangal Singh Tomar (Manish Choudhary), is actually the leader of the guns/arms business in Delhi.
