Serdar Akar (né à Ankara en 1964) est un réalisateur de cinéma et de télévision turc, réalisateur notamment de Barda et de La Vallée des loups - Irak.
Diplômé de l'Académie des sciences économiques et commerciales en 1985 et de la Faculté de cinéma et de télévision de l'Université Mimar-Sinan en 1994, il a d'abord été assistant d'autres réalisateurs turcs.

Yazgi (Destin), inspiré de "L'Étranger" d'Albert Camus, montre un personnage, Musa, qui paraît exilé du monde, indifférent à tout, à commencer par son propre sort. Fonctionnaire aux douanes, il constate avec indifférence, voire soulagement, la mort de sa mère, avec laquelle il vivait ; il se marie sans plus de sentiment avec une collègue dépitée de n'être rien de plus que la maîtresse de leur chef de bureau. A dredging ship is anchored in Istanbul for food and supplies. But the sailor sent to get them is mugged by six people and one weeks' worth of wages are stolen from him.
