‘Kirpaan.. the sword of honour’ is a family drama with various elements like patriotism, loss of identity among the young generation of today, family values, family honour, purpose in life, friendship and love. It is the story of the personal journey of the character Beeru – a young college going lad of Punjab living a carefree and purposeless life, who eventually disappoints his parents and also loses the love of his life due to his careless attitude. The rest of the story involves how he finds purpose in his life again and realizes his own identity in the world. It is the story of Beeru who from bringing disgrace to his parents finally goes on to work for his family’s honour. It is the fight against racism and slavery. Beeru’s grandfather had been a victim of racism which eventually led him to murder a race supremacist and that led him to be arrested and hanged till death. The grandfather died protecting the family’s honour which was an ancestral historical Sword. Decades later the grandson – Beeru, completely purposeless and broken in life finds purpose again by securing the Sword which was enclosed in a museum.

Binnu Dhillon plays a gang leader who has a heart problem. The doctor recommends him to get a new heart transplant. Unable to find any healthy donor in his gang, due to some sort of a drinking or drug abuse problem with each member of his gang, he convinces the character played by Arya Babbar, the protagonist of the film, for heart donation. Arya Babbar is in the need of money to go to Canada. He is a simpleton and somewhat dumb and therefore do not understand that he will die without the heart. Binnu is behind Aarya's heart and Aarya's uncle (Jaswinder Bhalla) and his friend Gurpreet Ghuggi, trying to save his heart.

Viswa's (Naga Chaitanya) family members are introduced, namely his older brother, (Srikanth), and his sister-in-law (Samiksha). Viswa meets Rhea (Kajal Aggarwal) who is an only daughter of wealthy business tycoon (Mukesh Rishi) who is concerned about money and growth but not about affection and love. While Viswa is trying to get attention of Rhea he accidentally gets into a quarrel with a gang who does business with human trafficking. He fights and frees some girls who were kidnapped. and the gang leader Rahul dev tries to find Viswa and kill him. Rhea's father sets up a proposal with another son of a business tycoon, Amit. Rhea is not interested. The gang's owner soon finds out that Viswa's brother works for him and he tries to chase him down but Viswa beats everybody up. He soon realizes that he has to save Rhea from her soon-to-be husband. Rhea's fiance tries to kill her by locking her in a car and throwing the car into an ocean. But Viswa saves Rhea. The film ends with Viswa bringing Rhea out of the ocean in a blanket and the two are talking.

Panchamirtham (2008)

The story begins at Ravana's (Prakashraj) abode and the time of Ramayana when he orders his uncle Mareesan (Jayaram) to transform into a deer to abduct Seetha. Mareesan argues with Ravana but finally complies since Idumba (Raju Eswaran) and Ravana threaten the life of Mareesan's lover (Samiksha). Finally the said thing happens and Mareesan gets struck by the arrow by lord Rama, he becomes a rock but not before he transforms Idumba into an anklet and wears it on his leg. Times change and the modern day comes. Rajaram (Nasser) is a very rich man who owns tea estates and he has Seetha (Saranya Mohan) as his dietitian and Sri Rama (Arvind Akash) as the cook. Both Rama and Seetha are in love, on the other hand Rajaram's relatives (M. S. Bhaskar and Mayilsamy) plan a plot to take the property. In this process, they end up planning to kill Seetha by pushing her from a mountain top. Seetha falls directly on the rock idol of Mareesan and he gets his human form. At the same time, his anklet falls off and is eaten by a fish. That fish is caught by fisherman Manickam (Nasser again) and Idumba gets his human form. The age old enmity crops up and while Mareesan vows to protect Seetha, Idumba plans to help Manickam get Rajaram's property as half brother. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Murugan is targeted for no fault of his by FIR Murthy. Nadhiya (Udhayathara), a girl next door falls for Murugan's good conduct. Both develop romance. However a bloody duel between Murugan and Murthy brings a change in the former's life. The rest is the battle between the two to assert their supremacy over one other that ends with a riveting climax.

Saddened, Murugan goes to Chennai and ends up with a job as a delivery boy. Having given up all hope of ever seeing Amutha again, he bumps into her when making a delivery at a medical college.
